Raw Material  for Vermiculite Board

Vermiculite is the generic name for laminar, hydrated ferromagnesian-Aluminum-Silicate minerals that resemble mica in the crude form. It has a great number of industrial uses by virtue of its expansion behavior on heating.

When heated rapidly to 900-1,000 D.C, its interlaminar water turns to steam and causes the minerals layers to exfoliate or sepreate into worm-like pieces. This forms a material with Lower Density, Excellent Insulation properties, Good Absorption, Iron Exchange Capacity, Chemically Stable and Non-toxic.

The above properties make it widely used in Construction, Agriculture and Horticulture and Industrial application.

Q:Now that my anole has laid an egg how am I to take care of it?
you should just leave it alone and make the parent take care of it.
Q:can i use soil as a medium because havent got any vercumilite for bearded dragon eggs?
That is not really a good idea since soil contains bacteria, larval forms of some insects and does not hold the temperature or the moisture content correctly. The best suited product for the hatching of eggs is vermiculite and the second best is sand, the breeders will tell you that. The next thing you could be doing is placing them in an incubator, commonly used for hatching chicken eggs the incubator will do fine for bearded dragon eggs, just make sure you get one with a temperature setting. In case you need to make the temp warmer or cooler. You can get an incubator at a tractor supply store, Co-Op or a farm supply store that sells grains and animal feed. Any store that sells farming supplies would have them or a place that sells live farm animals like chickens or ducks would have them as well. You can even order them online.
Q:a. peat moss and vermiculiteb. sand and sphagnum mossc. sand and perlited. perlite and peat moss
Perlite, sphagnum (peat) moss (although, moisture might be a challenge). There's a technique that can be used with incubators called substrate-free or substrateless - a search should find the details of it. There's also a product on the market called Hatch-Rite. Again, an internet search should find a few places where you can get it. Good luck.
Q:Okay My female paint turtle laid 1 egg in the water And i put her in the nesting box i put soft dirt in their cause i don‘t have sand And im not sure im not sure how long she has too stay in their cause she is trying too get out of it and im not sure if those are real eggs or not cause i found her on the road about 4-3 weeks ago and i didn‘t know if she was pregnant, Please Help
Yes. You would need to give us more details as to how the claim was unsubstantiated but yes, legally you can.
Q:How do you incubate crested gecko eggs?
1) You have not mentioned the name of the mushroom . 2) There are different methods of their cultivation depending upon the type . 3 ) In any case, the procedure you have adopted is very unique and unheard of . 4 ) I have my reservations about it ! 5 ) By the way is it rice flower ? or rice flour ?
Q:hellow I want to pack my walls floor and celing with somthing that is very dense and fireproof , I thought of vermiculite but there is a silicate danger , sand is too heavy rock wool silicate danger uld anyone suggest somthing I could pour or push in that is dense so the sound from my theater system will not leak out to the other parts of the house. Thanks big time . G. Singh
Is the belt turning the alternator?
Q:Its in a vase with water now.
You take a small pot. Put potting soil in it. Put the plant in. Cover up its roots. Water it. There its now in dirt.
Q:I put a bunch of vermiculite (that is probably spelled wrong.) in a pot and then watered it down until the water was as deep as the vermiculite, then dipped the stems of the clippings in some root growth powder and stuck the stems in the vermiculite, I don't think the leaves were touching the wet vermiculite, but after a little over a weak the clippings were basicly reduced to slime... what went wrong?? was there to much water for them??? Was the vermiculite to much for the leaves?? I know that their leaves are very sensitive to water on them, but I am pretty sure they weren't touching the vermiculite/water mix. :S
the best thing to do would be to call a home inspector. They know all the dangers to look for in the entire house, not just the insulation. (Mold, rot, waterdamage, termites, mildew, etc)
Q:What are the characteristics of vermiculite on flowers?
The chemical formula of vermiculite is (Mg, Ca) 0.7 (Mg, Fe, Al), 6.0[(Al, Si), 8.0] (OH4.8H2O). Monoclinic system, usually in flakes. Brown, brown or tan. Grease gloss. Hardness 1~1.5. Density 2.4~2.7g/cm3, vermiculite calcined at 800~1000 DEG C, the volume of rapid expansion, increasing 6~15 times, high up to 30 times. The average density of vermiculite after expansion is 100~200Kg/m3, because the vermiculite which has been roasted and expanded has fine air barrier, so it has good insulation performance.
Q:The freshest we have only carries parylite and I was wandering if I could use that instead of vermiculite. I'm expecting eggs from my leopard gecko any day now so I need to know if I should make an emergincy run to the store. Thanks.
