Q:The wiper on the drivers side runs normally for a minute or two but then it starts to swing over to the side of the glass. Last night it caught on something and I lost the blade (of course in the pouring rain and on interstate), replaced the blade at the first place I got to. Anyway how can I fix it to keep it on the glass and prevent this from happening again? We are using the sizes it calls for and it has done this since we got the car in October.: Linkage on rotating arms are worn or check the splines to where the wipers arm is attached to. Splines can be eaten out. The only other thing is to buy smaller wiper blades or fix it!

Q:is there a pin or what: Don't have one here to look at but I am pretty sure it is the type that has a small lever on the top (windshield) side, near the base of the arm. You need to use a small screwdriver (or similar) to move the lever out about 1/8 inch; it should stay there. Then wiggle the arm to lift it up and off. Make sure to push the lever back in when done.

Q:The wipers were accidentally turned on with a sheet of ice on the windshield. Now the right wiper is extending off the car and overlaps the right when turned on. The left wiper will only go up about half way if the timing is right. Both wipers also hit hard when coming down. Is this something I can fix myself or will I have to go to a mechanic?: The wiper arms fit onto the splined driving shafts -- sounds as though you might get this to work by turning the wipers to off, then remove wiper arms from shafts, and reinstall the arms at normal resting position. This will probably require removing a screw from the head of each shaft, then reinstalling and tightening after relocating the wiper arms. Might have bent some of the linkage, and if you did so, you might bend the linkage back into shape, might need junkyard parts.

Q:tried to turn it on put it wont move at all. it wont even budge. please help. is it expensive to get fixed: look for a burnt out fuse.

Q:What makes a Windshield Wiper Squeak?: If its the arm itself you can spray the arm with silicone spray to lube it. If its the wipers themselves its either the widow is dry or the blades are bad.

Q:how to fix windshield wiper pump for 2005 Acura?: Are you sure it's the pump? In cold weather, the jets could have frozen, even if you use that blue antifreeze windshield fluid. Do you hear a humming sound, like the pump is actually trying to pump something? Also check that all the tubing is connected, and that there isn't a clog somewhere.

Q:my windshield wipers, radio, power to my windows and locks went out at the same time: It could be under the dash drivers side, glovebox, some old ones have them on the fire wall. What year and model is it.

Q:The windshield wipers won‘t work and I have replaced the fuse. The washer fluid won‘t work nor will the cruise control looking for alternate way to get wipers working.: I am a big fan of more air. More air means more power. If it were a gas burner it could be a little to much but that diesel can handel just about as much as you can give it! Good luck

Q:Why is windshield wiper fluid blue?: I don't think there is a specific reasoning for it, it just started off blue so why change it? It's just windshield wiper fluid.
