Q:Hello, i am currently look into building a Log home, i have the floor plan picked out and i'm working on budget, is it possible to quot;DIYquot; Basement foundation? What is the ball park contractor money figure for a 1700 square foot house's foundation with a 27' X 50' foot print. I have equipment (excavator) but my worry is the pouring concrete. Thanks for your time.
I you own the land, if you do not have expensive tastes, figure about 85.00 per sq. ft to have it professionally built. IF you go nuts in the kitchen and baths, that price can escalate to 120.00 per foot very quickly. IF you get it professionally built, make sure that the contractor is licensed and bonded, pay 1/3rd up front, and always retain at least 10% upon closing to insure the job was done right. Get references, do not go with the cheapest bid, for their are always reasons someone is way below the other's bids! Set a start date and a finish date in the contract! IF the job goes over, the contractor begins to pay you! That way, the contractor will not work one day a week on your job, and have 4 others going on at the same time! He arrives at 7AM or 8AM, works the entire day, cleans up and leaves at 4 PM EVERY DAy that is workable. This is a very important piece of advice! Otherwise, your home will start off with a bang, he will ask for more money, and then things will slow down to a crawl. I would also insist that as soon as under roof, ALL materials purchased with your money be on site, set up security immediatley...you do not want your money being spent on another home...too many contractors rob Peter to pay Paul while working, run out of money and cannot finish the job. Be very careful here! Goldwing
Q:I have some and i used it in my leopard geckos tank for over a year now. Is there any way to make it not as hard as cement so that my reptiles can actually burrow in it?
I think you should change the sand type. A fine grounded sand would probably work. You should check with a local pet store and see what they use just in case though.
Q:Have to analyze a hydraulic circuit. I decided to analyze the hydraulic circuit in an Excavator. Looking for a detailed path of the fluid throughout the circuit. Also, what components are involved throughout the circuit and what there function is. If anyone with a little knowledge on excavators or hydraulic circuits could help that would be great! Thank You!
Search online for the operator's manual for the specific brand/model number of excavator you are looking at. You may even be able to download a free copy from the manufacturers website. Most hydraulic circuits consist of a pump and motor to force fluid through the system, a reservoir to hold the hydraulic fluid, valves to control the flow through the system, cylinders or other devices that transfer energy into a usable force for doing work, maybe a filter. There will be other components but those are the most basic fundamentals of a hydraulic circuit. Good luck and have fun!
Q:What is the difference between a hydraulic excavator and a mechanical excavator?
Because hydraulic excavator has many varieties, multi-function, high quality and high efficiency and so on, it has been favored by the construction units. The production of hydraulic excavators is also booming.Mechanical excavator, also called excavating machinery, is a kind of earthmoving machine that uses bucket to excavate material that is higher than or lower than the machine surface and is loaded into transportation vehicle or unloaded to the stacker. Excavators are mainly made of soil, coal, sediment, and soil and rocks that have been pre - loosened. From the development of engineering machinery in recent years, the development of excavator is relatively fast, excavator has become one of the most important construction machinery in engineering construction. The three most important parameters of excavator are operation weight (quality), engine power and bucket bucket capacity.
Q:A friend of mine has found an antique in Iran and he wants to sell it outside the country, is this legal. the antique is not from a museum.it was excavated.by the way, the folks who found it were Iranian not foreignersmy question is- is it legal to auction this outside the country or do we have to hand it to a museum
You need a permit. You will probably not get one. 'It was excavated' is no defence at all. Neither is the nationality of the excavators. If it was legally excavated in a properly conducted archaeological dig, then it would have gone to a museum anyway. Now - I've told you this, so your friend can do what he or she pleases. I note that this friend did not ask the authorities - maybe because you - sorry, I mean this friend of yours - knew what the answer would be. That said, I personally think these laws are too restrictive. If there are enough of this particular object around, why should it bother anyone if some of them are in private hands in foreign countries?
Q:I recently lost my vision in one eye (permanently) due to lack of maintenance (on there end) on equipment that I rented. I rented a excavator from a rental company and shortly after using it part of the machinery (the tooth from the bucket) flew off and hit me in the eye permanently blinding me. Also there was no windshield on this to pull down for protection. Is there a legal case to this? The piece that hit me was approx. 3quot; wide x 6quot; long x 2quot; thick of solid steel, hitting me at approx. 30-40 mph and almost knocking me out. I'm not talking about a little piece of metal that would bounce off of safety glasses. The metal of course did not actually go into my eye but rather hit me so hard it smashed my eyeball flat. Also, we found out later that the bolts holding the tooth on were not the ones made for this excavator, were not the right size and were not hardened bolts. They should not have been used period.
Depends what you signed when you picked up the rental. If I was a company owner I would attack you first as threat response.
Q:A subway excavator lifts a person standing on it in 1 minute. The person climbs op on the unmoving/not working excavator in 3 minutes. In what time will the person climb on the working/moving excavator?(This is translated from another language)
A subway excavator lifts a person standing on it in 1 minute. The person climbs op on the unmoving/not working excavator in 3 minutes. In what time will the person climb on the working/moving excavator? This is a relative speed problem. d = distance that they move upward. The speed of the excavator = d ÷ 60 seconds. The speed of the person = d ÷ 180 seconds The sum of speeds = d/60 + d/180 = 3 d/ 180 + d/180 = 4d/180 = d/45 Time = distance ÷ speed = d ÷ d/45 = 45 seconds = 0.75 minute This makes sense, because the time should be less than the other 2.
Q:I notice some guys have longer nails on their pinky finger than on other fingers. Why?
Most of the time it is to scoop coke by druggies.
Q:My PC160 slows down when I run it for an hour or so. Its not over heating and my filters are clean, the hydraulic fluid and type is good. The cowd in and outand boom up and down is the most noticeable, but I'm sure the swing is affected by this seeins how everything is set based on the swing. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
might be the pressure relief valve on the pump when it gets hot? maybe a pinched/crushed hose that collapses when hot?
Q:Halimar Excavator's ability: Whenever Halimar Excavator or another Ally enters the battlefield under your control, target player puts the top X cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard, where X is the number of Allies you control. So if I played a second Halimar Excavator will my opponent mill 3 cards? If two Halimar Excavators are in play and i play another one will he mill 5 cards? So if I have four Halimar Excavator in play and I kicked rite of passage(put five copies of target creature in play) my opponent will mill 72 cards? Please help.VERY CONFUSED!
If you have an Excavator, it will mill one (assuming you control no other allies). If you play another, both it and the first will trigger. They'll each mill two when they resolve, for a total of four. Playing a third will give you three triggers, each milling three cards. If you have four Excavators and then play Rite of Replication, then the five new Excavators each trigger five times, as do the four ones already in play. So you have nine Excavators, each triggering five times, for a total of 45 triggers. When each resolves, they count nine Allies and mill nine cards, for a total of 405 cards milled.
