make a boat that displaces more water (weight) than the 300 gram you're trying to float find how much does 500 grams of water weigh500 grams is used so that you have 200 grams extra, for the boat and minor leaks your boat may have then use a simple designthe hot glue and sticks is edued ot make a basic frameif you don't make one, the boat will be flimsy and likely to sinkto find how big the frame is, get the 500 grams of water, find its volume, and figure out the size of the box to hold 500 grams of waterUse this box to build the framethen glue foil around the frame with more hot gluehot glue is water proof and glues welltest your design every step of the way, for leaks in a tub of water when you're done, you have a ugly boxy boat that holds at least 300 grams of material since it displaces 500 (or more) grams of water if you're good with buildign things, you can figure out how to build your boat more boaty than a square box of foilIt'll still work, but it'll take much mor effort.
I am building a portable firepit in school, and they got this thin sheet metal, less than a 16th of an inch thick, and teacher says it shouldnt melt through and if it does i can add another sheet to it, but id rather make it right the first time and have 1 piece of steeli was also wondering how hot the coals get that sit on the bottom that are red hoti could put dirt or sand down under it, but id rather notthanx!!
It sounds like the sheet metal would be fine if you used it for thisObviously there's a lot of factors that you have to take into consideration, but as long as you don't have excessively large / prolonged seriously hot fires then you'll be fineThe average campfire won't be hot enough to actually melt the metalExpect it to be oxidized more quickly: depending on the type of sheet metal, it could rust more easily or turn a different color evenJust to give you reassurance, many people cook things over a campfire that are wrapped in aluminum foilYou could place this aluminum foil in the fire, on top of the hot coals, and the metal won't even come close to melting.
I love to cook and i really wanted to send my brother some cookiesI just found the recipe and they are soo good, i know he will love themThe problem is they are made with a chocchip cookie base and top and the filling is caramel chocchips and nutsI know they would melt or something, but i have to risk itWhat's the best way to package this kind of food, taking all the precautions, i'll do anything.

When i was younger I saw an experiment on Mr wizards world(My idol, recently passed) where he took aluminum foil, placed it in a pot of I think it was sodium bicarbonate dissolved in hot water on a stoveHe used a tarnished spoon and touched it to the Al foil and the tarnish dissappearedIthink this is how it went but Im not sureIt has been many yearsDoes anyone know or remember???
Tarnish Removal from Silver Materials: -a tarnished piece of silver -a pan or dish large enough to completely immerse the silver in -aluminum foil to cover the bottom of the pan (Note, these two materials can be combined by using a disposable aluminum pan) -enough water to fill the pan a kettle to heat the water (and oven mitts if you plan to move the pan) -baking soda, ~ 1 cup (depends on the amount of tarnished silver you have) Procedure: Line the bottom of the pan with aluminum foil (or use your aluminum pan) Set the silver object on top of the aluminum foil, making sure the silver touches the aluminum Heat the water to boiling, and pour it in the pan (be careful not to burn yourself), completely covering the silver Add baking soda (as needed); a good rule of thumb is ? cup per 1 liter.(Note, the mixture will froth a bit and may spill over; so you may want to put the pan in a sink – use oven mitts) The tarnish should begin to disappear quickly. You may need to let it sit, reheat the water, and/or add more baking soda if the silver is badly tarnished

I'm looking at purchasing a used (but VERY high-end.about $2k used) mountain bikeThe person selling it has indicated that there is a quot;small dent on the downtube, where a rock kicked up and hit itquot; He also states it's quot;very small and very shallowquot; The question is, if it is just a very small ding, could this be a problem? Aluminum is very brittle and has almost zero fatigue strengthAlso, I'm about 240 pounds and concerned about aluminum even without dings Anything to even be concerned about??
Use paddle wheels (driven by electric motor) both front and backMake the wheels so they will climb onto and over the obstructionOr Google for pictures of unusual early boats - I'll bet there's one that could do thisJust steal that design.
I need to cook a ham about 8 or nine pounds (not a whole ham) but i need to cover the ham but i don't have aluminum foil or any more parchment to cover it withI'm using a aluminum hefty ez roaster pan and it came with this plastic looking lidI'm not sure but is that lid oven safe? I'd like to cover the ham since my recipe calls for it but since i cant run to a store and i'm out of proper kitchen items to cover the ham roaster with i would like to know if the lid is meant to be baked in the oven or just placed on top after you cook with the roaster and it is out of the ovenI know this question may be silly but i honestly don't knowI've never used one of these before.
It is NOT safe for the oven.Your ham will cook fine with out a lid or foil.
