Q:What effects does the hercules control steel have?
I guess that since Steel doesn’t have headphones connection and a built-in soundcard, one won’t be able to play a track on one deck and prelisten the track on the other without using an external usb soundcard, right? I was wondering what’s the point in releasing a product like this if you also have to buy a bunch of equipment to be able to do sth “fondamental”: play while preparing your next song. However since the steel is meant for DJ’s who already have a great soundcard, but I don’t see why a Steel+sound card is ONLY for pro’s. Yes it’s designed for pro’s but you can use it as a beginner. Some consoles you also need to consider: Hercules Steel/RMX, Numark OMNI/Steath. It's all personal decision. Peace, Love Happiness
Q:Better Movie: Man of Steel or Captain America; The First Avenger?
Pretty hard, I feel like Captain America The First Avenger had less flaws, but I more enjoyed Man Of Steel. I don't know why people didn't like how Cap first started out with advertising/singing and all that. I actually applauded Marvel for having the guts to stay true to the character's origin. Henry Cavill has the best look for Superman in my opinion, but I do agree with the critics that say he doesn't reflect the character's personality accurately. He's too dark, reminds me of Batman, but if he talked less. I disagree with the Superman killing conflict. True, the character is not a killer, but that's exactly why they wrote that in. Internal character conflict. Put him at war with himself. Plus, it gave the grand opportunity to give Doomsday his new origin, which I kinda liked. In the end, I'll say Man Of Steel, they really dove deep into that movie, it was well written and had a great plot. I loved seeing and learning more of Krypton. Crazy how I'm not even a huge Superman fan
Q:Steel Building Kits...!!?
I put up a 30'x40' Mueller Steel Building from a bolt together kit 6 yrs ago. Fully insulated, 2 10'x10' roll up doors, 1 walk thru door, 3 windows, 2' overhang all around, and gutters. The building price minus the slab was about $9500. The only special equipment was a neighbor's large Farmall with a hay spike on the FEL that we used to lift the trusses in place. Then it was mainly cordless drills to put in LOTS of self tapping screws, circular saw with metal cutting blade, tall ladders, etc. Had help putting up the trusses and putting up the roof panels. Everything else I did by myself. Took about 6 wks, but that was only working weekends and maybe 3 evenings a week since that land is 30 miles from my house. Would have gone a lot faster with at least one helper.
Q:crossbow hunting with 8mm steel balls?
People usually compare regular fiber stringed crossbows with the string in steel ball crossbows. steel ball crossbows shoot with steel cables that can take the light weight of the ball . On top of that they are ALLWAYS have cams that reduce the tension when releasing the ball. I own a 160 lbs crossbow that shoots both bolts and 8mm balls and I love it, it can take a raccoon , a rabbit , even a turkey and it is very easy to reload since it keeps several balls in the magazine. About how accurate it is , as most shooting weapons it is a matter of practice. I have a pistol 6 mm balls and is really fun, I don't think you can kill much with that one but it is fun to shoot at around the house. I would give it a try , you might be pleasantly surprised.
Q:Why is Iron used to create steel? ?
iron came before steel. iron is what was discovered that, under certain circumstances, became a stronger metal: steel. that is why. its like asking why copper is in bronze. because what we call bronze, is an alloy of copper and tin. if you give a more detailed question, i may be able to give a more detailed answer.
Q:Damascus steel knife?
So, there isn't a good answer to your question, because Damascus doesn't describe the actual materials properties of the steel, rather the mechanical construct of the steel. For example: A very common Damascus steel is to layer L6 with 1080 high carbon steel and forge weld the layers together to make a blank, anneal it, then grind it into your blade and heat treat it. (Massive over simplification) That type of Damascus steel is going to be a bit softer than one of the super high carbon exotics, but will be tougher in terms of ability to flex without taking a set, and not chipping out if the edge hits something hard. (assuming it is heat treated well) - edge between RC56 - 58 typically. Another common Damascus steel is layers of VG-10 steel and VG-1 steel also welded together, with the billet then annealed, ground, and heat treated. In this case, because you are using stainless steels you will get a much harder edge - RC 60 - 62 typically. It will have better toughness than plain VG-10, but certainly nowhere near what you can get out of L6 or 52100 or something of that sort. Generally, for a bushcraft knife you typically want something like the first type of Damascus because you are looking for a more all purpose tool, and typically a larger knife. The only problem is that in the bush the first types of steel typically rust. The second type is made up of stain resistant steels and will hold up better. So, this brings me around to - why exactly do you want a Damascus blade on your knife? Are you already looking at one you like? Thinkingblade
Q:What knife steel will last the longest?
Hard okorder.com/: The nature, composition, and thickness of the protective surface oxides that form on titanium alloys depend on environmental conditions. In most aqueous environments, the oxide is typically TiO2, but may consist of mixtures of other titanium oxides, including TiO2, Ti2O3, and TiO. High-temperature oxidation tends to promote the formation of the chemically resistant, highly crystalline form of TiO, known as rutile, whereas lower temperatures often generate the more amorphous form of TiO, anatase, or a mixture of rutile and anatase. Although these naturally formed films are typically less than 10 nm thick and are invisible to the eye, the TiO; oxide is highly chemically resistant and is attacked by very few substances, including hot, concentrated HCl, H2SO4, NaOH, and (most notably) HF. This thin surface oxide is also a highly effective barrier to hydrogen.
Q:Long term effects of steel on skin?
Stainless steel contains both nickel and chromium. These two alloys are responsible for most of contact dermatitis in people. Some of my co-workers making steel had such bad reactions to chromium that they had to quit their jobs. Their skin was always inflamed. People don't react to finished stainless steel the same way because the alloys are bonded tightly in the heat treating process. But if you are grinding it and getting the dust on your skin, you could get a contact dermatitis if you are sensitive. I don't think it would absorb into your blood stream or do any long term damage to your skin. If you do get a reaction, you would have to cease your exposure or in a worse case scenario risk getting a body wide reaction like my coworkers. I would not worry about any exposure making rings out of stainless steel. After all, stainless steel is used in sugical implants and most people are fine.
Q:Can you give me the general working and description of a steel cooling bed?
Another type of cooling bed is used for square stock. It consists of several beams with angles cut upward from the bottom. The beams move in alternating fashion so that the square beam is lifted and sat into the next 'tooth'. The angle is cut so that the beam rotates as it is set down. This keeps the stock straight while it cools.
Q:Help with Steel and Iron please?
Iron is an element. Steel is an alloy made of iron. Mild Steel, or Carbon Steel is made from at least 98% iron in a preocess that involves controlled application of heat. Other Steel Alloys contain significant ammounts of other elements. In the case of Stainless steel, these elements are Nickel and Chromium. In plain steel, the carbon content varies from 0.15% to about 1.4%. The higher the carbon content, the harder the steel is. Over 1.4% carbon, the steel becomes so hard that is also becomes brittle. Carbon content is also used to control the hardness of stainles steel. Because Stainless steel is corrosion resistant, it is often used for making food preparation equipment. Aluminum is NOT a common element in steel. Aluminum reacts to silicon content similarly to the way Iron reacts to carbon content. High strength Aluminum alloys often contain Magnesium.
