Q: My computer has ran fine for almost 6 to 7 months and just recently shutdown, and when I boot it back up, I get a red message and a beeping noise saying quot; The power cable is not connected to the video card. Please refer to the Getting Started guide for information on proper hardware instillationquot;. I thought it was a heat problem with the computer so I shut it down and left it for a while to cool down, but I still got that message.
you have to open up your computer and plug in the power connector to the card, its easy.
Q: Hi. I was snaking 40 feet of underground burial power cable thru a PVC conduit. As I did not have any cable pulling lubricant, I used JOY dishwashing liquid detergent as a lube for pulling the cable with a snake. Will that damage or detiorate the outer jacket of the cable it is still in the conduit. The flexible conduit I used is water tight and I have plugged both openings with silicine caulk.
No, it should be just fine.
Q: I am trying to hook up a LCD display (CPU Temp, USB's in use, Memory Temp/usage, etc) and It came with a 5pin DIN connector for what I assume is the power. I am not sure what I need to do to connect it to the PSU. Any help or ideas?
the connectors are color coded and monitor cables are usually blue so hook it up to the blue connector on the back of the computer.
Q: keep in mind this is a 6 yr old machine, the old roms connected the old way, I don't even know the name of the old cables.....
yah! you can buy a SATA power cable converter. but i don't think if there is a IDE cable to SATA cable converter? is your mother board have a SATA socket?
Q: Ok, i know it is definitely a NO-NO to run my power cable through walls, but, what if I run the power cord through only to pull it out behind my entertainment center from the wall-plate my other cables come out, and plug in a surge protector?
That is against fire code, and could void your home-owner's insurance. An electrician can move your outlet for you for about $70.
Q: high effency double shielded transmission power cable?
What is your question? Does such a cable exist? Probably but you'll have to be more specific. High efficiency = low loss or low resistance per foot? Double shielded = is the shielding (in dB) critical? Transmission = What frequency, 60 Hz, 1 MHz, 100 MHz, ? Power = Watts, KW, MW Is weight or cost important?
Q: I have a 2003 Honda Accord. I'm trying to put an amp and sub in it. My problem is, I'm not sure how to get the power cable from the batter to the inside of the car. I know it needs to go through the firewall, but I need to know exactly where. I couldn't find any unoccupied holes. I also need to know where the other side of the hole will be so that I can grab the wire from the other side. Pictures would be really great if you have them.
completely authentic, i found out as quickly as I left domicile for greater then in basic terms a month or 2.. there is truly no such place that would make you experience like domicile different than your place of birth or usa.
Q: Due to the large spans the signal must travel it must be amplified or reconstructed at one point, taking into consideration that everything happens underwater, where does the box that reconstructs the signal get it's power.
The cable that is laid on the ocean floor is typically called a submarine cable. These cables have been around for decades and were at first solid conductor cables used for telephone communications. Today they are typically a fiber optic cable with a solid conductor in the center. Typical burial rated fiber cable today can go 100km or about 60 miles in between repeaters. The cables are typically connected on either end by landing stations. These landing stations also provide power feed equipment. The repeaters are powered by a constant current sent down the conductor near the center of the cable. Therefore all repeaters in a cable are in series i.e. one wired to the next and to the next and so on. The landing station on one end of the cable will send a positive current and the station on the other end will send a negative current. The repeater derives it's power from the potential difference drop across them. This is basically a two channel power circuit wired in series using the same conductor...sorry to get really techincal=) isn't the internet great...hope this answers your question...below is a link to the patent applied for regarding transoceanic fiber repeaters, a submarine cable map, and my business website.
Q: I'm building a new computer and i have a SATA 6.0 HDD picked out but the PSU says it has SATA power cables, i was just wondering if the power connectors were the same across the board from SATA 3.0 to the new SATA 6.0.
sata power is all the same.
Q: when the power cable comes out, the laptop turns off simple as that! it wont work unless the power cable is plugged in and turned on, and its not that the battery is flat because i had it charging all day.so does this mean the battery is broken?if so what do i need to do?? any help will be greatly appreciated!!
Recharge the battery without using the computer at the same time. If this doesn't work you need a new battery and, obviously, someone to do the technical work. Try the geek squad at CircuitCity. It may cost you a little bit but they should be able to fix it or tell you if there is anything else that can be done.
