- Q: I have a toshiba A305 s6916 and it won't charge because the charger is'nt recieving power. I've changed outlets so i know its not that. My question is that if its easy to repair, this is the third charger i've gone through and i want other options before buying another one.
- It is either the power plug on the board or the power supply. Get another power supply first or go to a tech shop to have them test the voltage of the adapter and see if it works. Usually if the there is a light on it and it is not lit up then the adapter itself it dead. The adapters are usually about $35.00 and if it is a motherboard repair it is a hell of a lot more.

- Well you will need a 10 Amp or 14 Amp charger for your two batteries. I would make sure the transformer in the charger can handle at least 20 Amps and then it will never fail. Well maybe if the battery is almost flat. The higher the current that you need to charge the battery the higher the rated current of your transformer. If you draw more Amps than the transformer is rated for it will overhead and the transformer will fail. I make sure that there is always plenty extra power available and then it lasts for years.

- For your question about chargers, the new chargers are a bit different in that they look a bit different on the port's tip but as long as you buy one at the Apple Store it should work without a problem. My question is that you said that the battery stopped working. If the battery doesn't work, are you sure the charger isn't working? Maybe you should be buying a battery.

- Chargers, unfortunately, do suffer old age and die. The first thing to check is the fuse in the plug, if there is one. The next thing is to try a new cable between the mains socket and the charger brick. (I managed to ruin one cable by wrapping it into too small a set of loops). The final resort is to buy a new charger.
