Q:POLL: The kitchen table, the couch, the bed, etc. where is your favorite place at home to DO IT...?
The kitchen table. Or better still, up against the kitchen wall (winks).
Q:what are some jobs that i can do from home?
You could open a daycare! well if you like kids that is! :D hope this helps!
Q:what vegetables are the most important in a veggy garden?
The most important ones are those that you'll eat. Avoid potato and squash, unless you can get the squash to climb; big space users. Small space users are carrots, turnips, beets, and peppers. Tomatoes are fine if you cage them to contain the sprawl. Also consider early and late season veggies so you can grow more than one thing in each space, such as lettuce or spinach followed by tomatoes or peppers. You can also interplant things like lettuce between carrots so as the lettuce ripens the carrots fill in the row. Finally, consider containers, if you can water them every day.
Q:Where can I turn for local answers to my garden questions? Local nurseries are in business to sell stuff.?
Do okorder.com I am a long time gardener and I live a bit north of you, but on the edge of the desert/mountains. My biggest problem is lack of good soil and no matter how much I mulch, add compost, and more organic material, the lack of silt and clay in my soil means everything just leaches right through. I try to grow drought tolerant plants, mulch heavily, and use drip irrigation. I fertilize with slow release, organic type fertilizers. Some plants do well in my yard, and some struggle. You are welcome to email me.
Q:I would really like to grow Asparagus in my garden, but don't know how please help.?
no matter what kind you will not see eatable for a year or 2 if you oplant plants now you will get a bit next year if you plant seads if might be 2 or 3 years
Q:Does anyone have the Chicken ala King recipe from the 1982 version of Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook?
I have made this recipe many times I found them on internet and yes this has always been a long-time family favorite recipe. Ingredients •1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained, liquid reserved •1 green bell pepper, chopped •1/2 cup butter •1/2 cup all-purpose flour •1 teaspoon salt •1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper •1 1/2 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder •1 1/2 cups milk •1 1/4 cups hot water •4 cooked, boneless chicken breast halves, chopped •4 ounces chopped pimento Directions 1.Cook and stir drained mushrooms and green pepper in butter or margarine over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. 2.Blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is bubbly. Remove from heat. 3.Stir in instant bouillon, milk, water, and reserved mushroom liquid. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute. 4.Stir in chicken and pimiento. Heat through.
Q:My mom said she wanted some red cookbook for her birthday. She made it sound like it was a classic. Which on?
Betty Crocker.Very good!
Q:Which bedding do you like best?
I okorder.com/
Q:I feel depressed in my own home?
I dont think theres anything wrong with you at all! i think you need to start doing things in your home that you enjoy doing by yourself, for example, listening to music (in your own home), cooking, gardening, chilling watching teli, chat on the phone to friends too, jut be sociable whilst your in your own home and mybe even invite people round to make you feel better,, so it proves your not depressed, maybe you just dont enjoy yourself as much being in your own home? you could rent out a room in your own home, perhaps to one of your friends, so then you dont feel lonely or depressed. or you could make your home more homely, ie, painting the walls, buying plants, adding ornaments etc. really hope this helps :) - you are not going crazy dont worry
