Q: I am looking to research the best way to upgrade my 1950's flat-top home without loosing too much of it's orginal look, but expanding some room areas. I have gone though the DIY website and This Old House? The plans came back from the Artchitect, but I really am looking for some epansion, deocarting ideas for smaller rooms, and style ohter than quot;Botter Barn IKEA look? What I want is my original style, but I need some inspiration because I'd like to keep the 1950's look with a twist of a modern yet Artistic style. Any website suggestions, books, magazines? I already have BH G, House So Beautiful, and so forth. I want ideas that are hard to find because of their originality. Thank You!
I would start by looking through old 1950's magazines. Such as House Beautiful - Better Homes Gardens, you would not believe how much inspiration you can get, plus, there are design plans and decorating ideas. I have a bunch of the magazines from the 40's 50's. I look at them all the time. You can buy them pretty reasonable from OKorder. Just search under magazines, back issues. If you want I could probably mail you one to get you started and give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. Let me know.
Q: I am away from home and my cookbooks and haven't been able to find the recipe on line....it is mixed in a pan on top of the stove, not with a mixer.
If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular fad diets out there.
Q: My yard is sandy, and even struggles growing grass. However I am tired of the pure ugliness, I want to grow a garden, However with the poor growing conditions I need the name of flowers and plants that would grow easy, in sandy dirt, and less sunshine. Any names of plants and flowers.
I'm pretty sure that cati/cactus will grow in sandy areas and most of them bloom during the year. You can also try putting in a raised platform and putting dirt in it to grow a bigger assortment of flowers plants. If you live in a generally sandy area, you should be able to go to your local home garden center and ask them for recommendations. They always seem to know whats best for your area! Good Luck! P.S. Rock gardens are always an option as well. And they require very little maintenance.
Q: I am looking for an old Dutch Apple Pie recipe that was in an edition of Better Homes and Gardens in the early 90's. I had the page from the magazine, but now I cannot find it, and I need it for Thanksgiving.
Google is your friend!!!
Q: 1. Do you prefer a Pina Colada or a Margarita?2. Blonde, Brunette, or Red Head for your preferred sex.3. Kmart or Walmart?4. Tylenol person, or Advil person?5. Do you prefer one long relationship or lots of short ones. 6. If you had to stay in one category for the rest of your life would you prefer.....PregnancyParenting OR HomeGarden I HATE both of them....
1. Do you prefer a Pina Colada or a Margarita? Pina Colada--esp. the one at the Ren Faire! 2. Blonde, Brunette, or Red Head for your preferred sex. Dark-haired men, thanks. No Brad Pitts or Carrot Tops, ick. 3. Kmart or Walmart? K-mart, Walmart is only for those far-off not-too-near-civilization towns where it's the center of attraction for those poor unfortunate souls... 4. Tylenol person, or Advil person? Tylenol in liquid form or chewables (I can't swallow pills) 5. Do you prefer one long relationship or lots of short ones. Had both kinds, prefer the long ones. ;) 6. If you had to stay in one category for the rest of your life would you prefer..... PregnancyParenting OR HomeGarden PregnancyParenting--I'm a mom, soooo...
Q: I can't bring my cat in this winter - her kitties are up in the roof of my garage and i can't get up there because it wont support my weight. So she's going to have to stay in the garage until her kitty's grow up or she brings them down or something...There's a little indent above the window where she gets up there and i could shove a bed up there or something but i need a way to heat it. Makeshift or homemade would be best, because we only have a tsc(no pet stores) and they only sell one size heated pet mat and it's $100. And when the kitties are 12 wks old the mom won't have to be outside so we'll really have no use for it.there's a pet taxi right now inside the garage but it's not in the roof and there's no way i could get it up there it's too large.so my question is is there any way i could make one out of more reasonably priced items?
Self Warming Pet Bed
Q: low spaces and low are in garden in very importance and nice so early morning is rose very beautiful so need all people garden and income many but alone man passtime garden
If you're going to post in the all English category, learn the language. Your question makes about as much sense as a fish riding a bicycle.
Q: Ive been planning my wedding for two years now I had changed my mind from a beach wedding to a garden wedding in June it's just a better time for us to get married. But anyways, what are the pros cons of a garden wedding? Thanks, good luck to you all :)
I am all for a garden wedding because it's prettier and less costly in my opinion. Here are what came to mind for the Pros and Cons: Pros - Less $ spent than renting a venue Easier and cheapr to cater (i.e. sandwiches vs. a sit down dinner) Cons - Mosquitos The potential for bad (rainy or hot) weather Bothering the neighbors Cleaning up afterwards Space (limited if you want to invite a lot of people)
Q: Is it a separate application? Or is it on the same one and It's up to them if I get hired there or sales or something? I'd really prefer to work at the garden center if possible :(Has anyone worked for one? How was it?
Ya know - the best answers would be found at Home Depot itself. Go talk to them. Don't be afraid to voice your desires.
Q: is there any online information regarding landscape/garden design? i'm trying to get as much info as possible regarding this subject, especially the latest design trend/image reference...etc.any help is appreciated.
