Q: the metalic variety: medals, coins, tokens etc. are all produced using stamping process.

Q: A few years back I remembered seeing something on an ad on tv describing like a box you put over loud machinery like an air compressor so it will become quiter and even silence it. I don't know the name but from what I remember it was a white looking box very large.: You can build a box using 1x or 2x lumber and plywood, depending on how big you need it. Then line the box with either egg crate foam or styrofoam. Both act as noise supressors. Be sure to allow room for ventilation if needed.

Q: pls provide.: The straight line method of depreciation says there will be a set amount of depreciation each year. For this problem we will need to know what the starting value is, what the residual value is (the lowest amount it can get to) and how many years the machinery will be in use. I am not sure what the $450K is, starting or residual, but lets suppose it is starting, with a residual value of 0 and a 9 year life. (Starting Value - Residual Value) / Life = SLM Depreciation per year. (450,000-0)/9 = $50,000 The residual value tells you that the machinery cannot be depreciated less than 0.

Q: For example, perhaps life is more efficiant? of something like that.: The ability to self repair. If an animal gets a cut, its platelets eventually clot it and the cut scabs over and is eventually fully repaired. If a machine gets a hole in it, the machine cannot repair it itself.
