- The truth is there is no difference. Just different people calling it different names. Well not much of a difference, they just go in different directions. :)

- Scaffolding is a support structure in the early days of learning. Think of it in the same way as scaffolding for a building - in the early days, while things are being constructed, the scaffolding is needed to make sure the structure is strong, but once the building is strong enough to stand on its own the scaffolding can be removed, one piece at a time. It's the same with scaffolding for learning - once the child is strong enough in it's grasp of something, the props can be removed one at a time.

- Q: I'm wanting a scaffold piercing so i can wear it with a bar or 2 rings. Could i get it PIERCED with the 2 rings to begin with or do i have to have a bar for the first few weeks/months?
- My friend wanted the same thing done so she asked the piercer and he pierced one side of her top ear first and a week later she went back and got the other side pierced. She got used to the rings being in for 2 weeks and then put a bar in. Beware though as the bar that is put into your ear can make your skin grow around it, I still have two lumps on my ear from where the piercing went dodgy and so has my friend. I want it done again though! :)
- Q: I really wanna get one, but i have questions ? i already have a reg top cartilage piercing, so do i need only one more or does it have to be higher/lower? oh and do they have to make the hole bigger for the one i already have? or just the same? thanks :)
- They can't use one of the holes you already have. Things won't line up properly and it won't heal. They will make the new hole either higher or lower, depending on how high your cartilage piercing is at the moment. I would assume they would try and make it higher, but it is about what will be best for the piercing.
