- Off white (shabby-chick) furniture and change all the knobs to big english drop pulls in an oil rubbed bronze or matte black.Pick up the design of the metal work on the bed somewhere like some black and white/cream toile wallpaper on one wall or lamp shades or draperies etc. in a black toile, not too much though or it will look overdone. - Well two twin beds together would create a bed that's wider than a queen but shorter (length wise) than a queen. If you put two twin XL mattresses together you would equal a king. You can't make an exact queen, but you can make a wider bed than a queen with shorter length with two twins. If you put a twin and a full together you would get a bed with again a greater width and a shorter length. A twin and a full together would be much wider (much - like more than a foot longer) than a queen and only five inches shorter than a queen.

- Sears has major sales every month. You can go in and lay on them to find whats right for you. This is a great hands on way to go. A standard mattress with a memory phone top is great too.

- The only company I know of that sells queen sized loft beds only sells them in wood. That company is National Furnishing. Most metal loft beds have something underneath them for support, because metal loft beds are not that sturdy, similar to metal bunk beds. Good luck in your search!

- From experience on wasting my money on beds, we got a big hard plastic dog basket from a second hand site for cheap and use a blanket folded up to fit in the basket. The blanket is just cotton with a little soft filling so fur does not stick to it and it washes easily. The best part about it is that I can lay it outside, bring it with me anywhere and the dog still knows this as his bed without the basket. Usually the pillow ones I found are too big and get ruined too quickly because they are not easy to wash. I've had the same blanket and basket that 4 dogs now have shared for 8 years. :-)
