Q: when must you wear safety harnesses on scaffolding?: When you're on the scaffolding, of course.

Q: what should i do?? i've been washing it and leaving it to heal but im worried about it. i've had the piercing for 9 days now and i only noticed this yesterday. any ideas?: that means that was piercing wasn't done as well as it could have been. there is nothing you can do about it except take it out, let it heal, and have it re-pierced. go see your piercer. they should be able to tell you if it's a problem, and they should re-pierce it for free.

Q: Hi guys!...ive had a scaffold piercing for a little over 2 weeks and when i got it done it bled quite alot...this obviously made some scabs...but every time i clean it the scabs come off and its starts bleeding again...and just before i posted this i found abit of puss like fluid round the back of it!I clean it twice a day and avoid touching it What have i done wrong :(Plus my mum is now like quot; i told you so quot; LolCheers :): Ear cartilage piercings generally take longer to heal than lobe piercings. This is often due to a combination of things, such as the location of the piercing in the cartilage, the type of jewellery used and the tension that jewellery creates to the structure of the cartilage. Using biocompatible plastics (like PTFE), cleaning cartilage regularly, and increasing your intake of minerals will certainly benefit your piercing; however a piercing will almost always be doomed to failure if improper jewellery and poor planning are used and left unmonitored.

Q: What's your opinion of them?: I think they're pretty awesome when they're well done and tragic when they're not. Unless the angle is absolutly perfect, they'll never heal. So an exceptional piercer is an absolut must.

Q: is it possible to have an industrial piercing done in 2 stages? so like 1 hole first and then a few weeks later the 2nd hole done. ive found a place that for 2 holes is cheaper than having the whole process done as one. Please help :): yes it is possible. I know people who have done that. But I suggest getting it done at once because it will hurt less in the long run. Getting your cartilage done hurts for about 2 weeks and then get the top part done that is another 2 weeks. So to get it done together it will only hurt for 2 weeks in instead of 4.

Q: Okay, so I got a scaffolding/industrial piercing today I'm really happy with it. Now all I'm wondering about is cleaning it. People have recommended that I bathe it in salt solution for a few minutes each day to keep it clean soothe it. I have a couple little syringes, minus the needles, that my dad brought home from work, (he's a nurse). They are completely sterile, infact new out of the packet. Would squirting the salt solution directly onto the piercing wounds be equally good to clean it ? Or does anyone else have any suggestions for taking care of said piercings ?: No, squirting piercings with solution is never as beneficial as actually submerging them in the stuff. In my opinion, leaving the piercing alone and giving it sea salt soaks are the best methods for helping it heal.
