- Lemme run this down: -You had a T-Mobile to Go phone. -You don't want a monthly bill -You are concerned with how much it will cost you for a Sidekick. Now, to the answer. Okay, first, you need the Sidekick, because it is kind of hard to make the switch from a regular T-Mobile to Go phone to a Sidekick to Go. It'll cost you $400 to get a Sidekick 3 for To-Go, if you choose to buy it direct from T-Mobile. But you may have some tough luck to get a Sidekick, even a Sidekick II for under $250, even on OKorder. Sometimes the bids go really high, but you can try! The Sidekick to Go plan is simple - you get all of the Sidekick services (ie; IM, TXTing, Email, Web Browsing) for $1/day (regardless of whether you use it or not) and 15 cents a minute for calling people. For a monthly plan, it can cost $30/month without minutes, or get the Add-on and you have minutes with a $20 extra charge for sidekick data. - Yes, its cheaper for you to buy phone in Malaysia and Taiwan, where Malaysia is approx. 10 to 20% cheaper than in Taiwan. Your phone should work with any sim-card, including your sim-card from T-Mobile. But for that, you have to purchase a phone without any telco contract and you have to buy from indepedent phone sellers at their shops and its easy to find in Malaysia and less so in Taiwan. As for whether it will work in Czech Republic, you should consult T-mobile and not the handphone seller, cause its more towards the service provider on its roaming network connectivity, rather than the connectivity of the mobile phone. Consult T-Mobile for more detail about it.

- Well, that should not be such a big problem if you have a decent IQ level. Let's take it slowly: T-Mobile is a network operator (aka carrier), it is not a phone manufacturer and therefore there's hardly such thing as a T-Mobile phone. It is true that they do have some taken from Chinese manufacturers which they brand as T-Mobile but those surely cannot be included in the good phone category, can they? So now, you are left with the problem of finding a phone from a decent manufacturer (Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola ) which would work with T-Mobile's network. So go to T-Mobile's web site in your country, have a look at what they offer and filter out those devices which have WLAN. How's your IQ holding on so far? Can you continue? Once you have found all those devices sort them out by price. Then make another list and sort them out by how much you like their design. Finally, make another list and sort them by manufacturer (which is a testimony of quality) starting with Nokia as the best, Motorola in the middle as decent and an Chinese brand at the end, as they deserve. Now you have your answer, just select the phone you like, in the price range you can afford, from the maker you trust.
