Q: I would like to press a purple carnation I got 3-4 days ago. I would prefer to press it onto just a piece of normal printer paper. What would be the best way to press my carnation (w/out getting any books dirty!)? I've never pressed a flower before, so I need all the details - should I cut off them stem, should I press the flower on its side or on its center, etc. Thank you (and yes, I will be marking someone as having the best answer - 10 points baby!) And yeah, I know this is a weird question :P
I have pressed flowers in the past with good results. Copy paper will do. You can either trim some of the stem or leave as is (as long as it's manageable). Place it on its side between two sheets of copy paper and place something heavy on top. I would suggest to use something like a manila folder on top the copy paper---then put a book on top or something else that's heavy. Leave it undisturbed for awhile. I am not sure at least a month---maybe more. I still have pressed flowers that I have had for 10+ years. Good luck!
Q: Can you get more die calibers for this setup the calibers I want to reload are 45ACP 30.06 5.56 NATO an 9mm Ill be willing to pay for the setup If there is a more versitle progressive press for 200 or less tell me please. 10 points Best answer!
There are several things necessary to change from one chambering to another, particularly on a Progressive press. It isn't as simple as just changing to another set of dies and another shell holder (and possibly primer seater), like with a single stage press.... But if you are new to reloading I would certainly suggest NOT starting off with a Progressive press...at least until you learn the basics... I strongly suggest starting with a single stage press (or one of the many kits out there). Progressive presses are for experienced reloaders who are loading mass quantities of ammo at a time. Besides allowing you to learn the basics of reloading (and trust me, you WILL make a few mistakes when learning), a single stage press allows you to have hands-on at each stage of the process and is much easier and simpler to set up and spot and fix any problems you may run into before they have gone too far, and besides, it's much less expensive to buy...... You can always up-grade to a Progressive, or even a Turret, press if you wish at a later date, after you learn what you are doing, and have assembled a selection of necessary, and handy to have tools..
Q: How to maintain a press when i get it, it always get messed up after 2 days. HELP PLEASE??????????
Press with a satin pressing creme, wrap and tie down with a satin or silk scarf.
Q: How to breathe while doing standing military press?
God, I hate those. I'm doing them right now. Breathe out while your raise your arms and leg. Breathe in while you lower.
Q: I think I might be using too fine of grounds they keep getting into my cup. What are some good brands of coffee to use with a French press?
1) Buy a decent press. Bodum has a range of price points and all of them work about the same. I have 2 medium-size presses that make about 2 large mugs worth of coffee at a time. 2) Buy whole beans, ideally freshly roasted from a local roaster, and grind them immediately prior to brewing. Keep your beans stored in an airtight container out of the light (e.g. in a cupboard), and only buy what you can reasonably use within two or three weeks. 3) Use a burr grinder to make a medium-coarse grind. I use a Hario manual grinder. They take some time, but at only $25-30 on Amazon, they're the best value in terms of quality and end result versus price paid for the grinder. Regardless of how coarsely you grind your coffee, odds are there will be some small particles that the filter doesn't catch. That is, in my experience, normal. Just don't drink the last sip or two of coffee.
Q: Ok so there are some crimes which the state pursues and others where if there is no complainant then they don't do anything. Like I understand that in domestic violence cases the victim has to press charges, so what about something like harrassment? Does the state pursue the charges without a victim or is this one of those scenarios where the state is actually pressing charges instead of a victim? I guess I just don't see how if somebody in this scenario who refuses to press charges, there'd be a victimless crime, and therefore no crime at all, right?
Do you want to press charges is really the equivalent of asking, are you willing to be a cooperative witness? Obviously, to prove some types of crimes, the victim's cooperation is absolutely necessary. For instance, an element of a theft charge is that the property was taken from victim without victim's consent. So, the victim will need to cooperate and testify He did not have my permission in order to successfully prosecute. Some types of crimes really do not need victim testimony, such as murder -- it's reasonable for a jury to assume that the victim did not consent to being killed.
Q: I work out regularly and consistently, but I've been lazy about the bench press for the past few months or so. I still work everything else out consistently, I just hate working my chest. I'm gonna start back up soon anyway.Anyway, the last time I benched (3 months ago), my one rep maximum for my bench press was 265lbs. Like I said, I haven't touched the bench since. However, I have been working really hard to improve my military press and have been very successful. I just started doing standing military presses with barbells and in the past 4 weeks, I've gone from my one rep maximum being 175 to 205 with perfect form. Can I expect my bench press to have increased as well as a result of indirect training? Thanks!
For shoulder and chest, yes. It doesn't help your triceps as much, but it could definitely help improve your bech
Q: Hi everyone! At my school weight room we only have a mechanical? Bench press. Like one which is a bar attached to a pulley that lifts up weights. So basically a bar you push up with adjustable weight and no free movement. Anyone tell me what it's called? Before anyone goes into saying It's far better to use an actual bar I'm just trying to make do with what I got. So basically On this thing I can push 100lbs once (13 years old) so I wanted to know what the best weight and how many reps/sets of what weight I should do for best results. I would also like to know proper technique so if someone could link me to a site or tell me that'd be great. I would also like to know best exercises to supplement my bench press. Thanks in advance,Jamie
i'm okorder /.. the kid weighs less than 110 lbs yet can clean and jerk a 200 lb + ? weight
Q: i think press wood is a rip off for the people that by's press wood furniture anyone agreas with me.
Press wood as you call it might better known as particle board. It was invneted in the 50's due to a shortage of timber. in reality is well suited for aplications such as cabinets and vanities as well as furniture that is not moved much like a china hutch. It is actually a viable product and proably appears more often that you realize. not to mention it is cheap and easily made from the scraps of timber that would other wise be thrown away.
Q: My pecs stick outward too much. I'm a healthy weight - 22 male 5'9'' 134 pounds - I want them to be more squarish if that makes sense. I don't use the bench press because I go to the gym alone and don't have a spotter. Is this why they stick out so much?
Here what you do: Dumbbell Bench Press: incline, decline and do it arms spread and arms close together. Incline arms in = upper inners Incline arms out = upper outers Decline arms in = lower inner Decline arms out lower outer
