Q:I have tried chlorox and water and some parts turned pink. Help me somebody!
I use pure white vinegar (full strength)on all mold. It works very well and it's safe for fabrics and the environment. I keep a spray bottle in the bathroom and spray tiles/grout 2-3x week. No more mold. It works exceptionally well on the green algae mold on decks, patios, fences that get slimy in the winter - using a sprayer spray undiluted and it disappears and doesn't come back for months.
Q:my friends tagged my jeep like last may for the end of skool with window chalk... i got the stuff on the front and body off but the plastic windows left a light but noticeable stain... and they just tagged it again for the start of skool and im having a real hard time getting this one off is there a trick or something to buy to get this stuff off... o yea and i have a tear in my jeep window is there a way to fix that without tape like melting it back together or some waterproof glue Solution
you can try paint thinner on a rag .....not sure if it will take the stain out of the plastic or not but it should get the chalk off without a problem. not sure what to tell you about the rip in the window tho....sorry. hope the paint thinner works for you, just use caution cause the thinner is a harsh chemical. good luck. it might burn ur skin a little but wash with soap and water afterwards....your skin and the window to play it safe.
Q:This is a tough one, I know. But it is true cause I have read about this several times. My question is how is it done? is it the bark, resin, the wood the needles? I would really like to know how a tree can produce clear plastic paper.
probably just cellulose. Like photography film, it's just highly processed plant-cell fibres. I'm also uh, told, uh, that one can find clear smokeable rolling papers made of cellulose as well.
Q:...even when washing it? And I live in San Diego, not like in TX where the cling probably would bake into the window. But the windows are tinted, so it would have to be on the outside. The cling is about 6quot; in diameter.
I would think it may stick, but it would probably fall off due to the bumpiness of driving, plus when you wash it, it will make it fall off. If your windows are tinted, I wouldn't even mess with it because it may cause a discoloration, but I am not positive. I hope this helps you some! Btw, I love window clings too! :)
Q:I want to install low-E plastic film on my window. I'm a do-it-yourself and I want it to be revesible for summer and winter to ensure I save the more energy. I also want something transparent. Thanks
One of the cheapest places to get it if you can do it yourself is at Lowe's. They sell a large variety of tint with different shades and performance for windows and doors you can custom cut. If you are trying to save energy, they have a heat reflective film that I believe is up to 90% heat reflexive. It is in transparent and mirrored coatings. If you plan on removing it, make sure you get the static cling style and you can remove it and reuse it against next season because there isn't any adhedsives left on the film or glass. Make sure you really wet the glass and film on installation. Good luck!
Q:i got mad and threw something a my widow and one panel broke so how do i reinforce that otherpanel
I have repaired CRACKED window panes. It's important that none of the glass fell out, AND that all the cracked edges fit to each other tightly, AND are flush with each other. When all the pieces are flush [flat to each other, and in the same 'plane'] I VERY GENTLY AND CAREFULLY squeeze Super Glue ONLY INTO the cracks. IF one is very careful, surface tension 'draws' [sucks] the glue into the crack without leaving any excess on the glass surfaces to mar the appearance, AND if done properly, when cured, the glue 'disappears,' and the crack almost disappears. The Super Glue not only 'hides' the crack, but it also reinforces and waterproofs the joint. I do not know how long this 'fix' will last because the Ultraviolet in sunlight MIGHT degrade the glue, but if it should, one could always just 'run another bead' of glue.
Q:how do u use hair dryer to put plastic on windows?
It is for taking the wrinkles out of the plastic so it is airtight. Just put it as hot as it can go and blow on the wrinkles in the plastic until you get all the wrinkles out. Good luck!
Q:I have a plastic windshield that I want to tint, but have run into some problems. I tried getting a tint shop to place a film over it, but the surface was too curved. Is there another method that I can try? Is there any kind of spray or dye? Also, I would like mirror tint. Is that possible? The plastic can flex a little, so it has to be able to withstand that.I don't have to worry about whether or not the tint complies with the law. So, there are no restrictions.
I just would check with a different tint shop. I ran into that issue with my rear window on my car. A few different shops said they couldn't do it because of the size and how curved it was. Bottomline they just didn't want to go through the hassle. I found a shop that was willing and it turned out great. As for the spray tint VHT does make a product called night shades. I've seen it used with mixed results. On something small like taillights it good. But for a a large window you might have issues with consistent coverage. The tint might look blotchy when your done. Once again I would just look at finding a different place to do the tinting for you.
Q:they are white and look dingy
I have used a product called GOO Gone to remove the sticky residue left over from the plastic overlayment. I agree with the lady above have used Mean Green a lot and does a wonderful job . I have never used it on window, but have used it on patio furniture and on greases clothes. My Grandma also swear by vinegar and newspaper to clean a window to a perfect shine. After using Mean Green you will probably have to use something like Windex to get rid of the strike. Hope this helps
Q:State why plastic window frames need no painting or maintence?????
because they are plastic. wow, that should be obvious. .
