Any advice would be greatly appreciated.: There are some kits available for making repairs for clear plastic, you probably will not find them at an auto supply, but, at a place where supplies are sold for any inflatable items, air mattress,floats,etc. These clear repair kits come with an adheres and once in place it is there to stay. On the large tare on your back rear windshield, you may want to place a repair sheet on both sides. Also you may consider sewing it with clear fishing line. As far as you zipper is concern, you can replace the zipper pull, this may or may not solve your problem. Hope that some of the above is of some help!

Q: I have a Renault Clio authentique 1.2L and it has electric windows....there is a plastic clip attached to the back of the glass that i presume keeps the glass coming up and down at the right angle but it comes up really slowly and some times not at all....i think it has something to do either with the plastic clip or it needs more lubrication.....any help is appreciated. Q: i bought two white window blinds and then when i got home, i realized the color doesn't go with the color of my wall. black blinds would suit my wall better. so what kind of paint should i buy to color over the plastic surface of the blinds? thank you!: If they're mini-blinds, don't bother trying to paint them. Yes, you can change the colour, by using spray paint that's made for plastics, but by the time you get enough paint on them to do that, you have enough that the blinds won't go up and down very well if at all and it will be hard to change the direction of the vanes. Unless you just want to put them on the window and never open them, paint isn't very successful on blinds.

Q: I have a 4quot; tear in the plastic drivers side window. Are there any adhesives or techniques to fix it?: I repaired mine with clear packing tape, then took a hair dryer to it, just Long enough to warm it pretty good and got as many air bubbles out as possible- it lasted a full year and didn't block my view (for shapes and light, not 100%) then finally replaced it. By the way, my tear was all the way from top to bottom!

Q: they are white and look dingy: I have used a product called GOO Gone to remove the sticky residue left over from the plastic overlayment. I agree with the lady above have used Mean Green a lot and does a wonderful job . I have never used it on window, but have used it on patio furniture and on greases clothes. My Grandma also swear by vinegar and newspaper to clean a window to a perfect shine. After using Mean Green you will probably have to use something like Windex to get rid of the strike. Q: i have 2 windows that are always wet in the winter. will putting plastic insulation over them help this problem?: well, no not at all. The only thing we use plastic over windows for is trying to prevent drifts in the winter.
