Q: My son had ear tubes inserted about two years ago. I have always used drops in his ears and cleaned them, etc. Sometimes I would look in them with a flashlight to make sure they were ok and not leaking, (When you get an ear infection with tubes, your ears drain some). Today I was doing just that with a flashlight and I actually saw the tubes in both ears..I never noticed this before and I am a VERY observant mother. Could this mean they are getting loose or close to falling out?? Or is it just that I never noticed before. I did try to see them when he first got the tubes, but I never could. Today, out of nowhere I could see these white plastic tubes?? He has been very cranky and irritable, but can't seem to pinpoint where he isn't feeling well. Does losing your tubes (if that is what it is) cause some discomfort?? I imagine it would...anything involving your ears doesn't feel very good. Any medical professionals or experienced parents with any good thoughts???
i strongly suggest to bring him to his ENT doctor. have it checked.. you can only visualize it through an otoscope and not a flashlight. if you can see it something might be wrong. so have it checked now
Q: UPVC what material is the pipe and the HDPE plastic pipe?
Plastics cannot be identified by the naked eye. Only through chemical tests can it be established.
Q: where is the best place to go to buy a plastic tube (the kind you store items in?
try ace or i know true value hardeware stores carry them we sell them on mothly specials all the time and they come in a number of sizes

Yes, plastic tubes can be easily transported due to their lightweight and compact nature. They are often designed with portability in mind, making them convenient to carry and store during transportation.
Q: Two identical strong magnets are dropped simultaneously by two students into two vertical tubes of the same dimensions (see figure below). One tube is made of copper, and the other is made of plastic.

Q: My friend is 18 years old (male) and a smoker of 2 years. last night, he got in a severe car accident where he was told that he had punctured his lung perhaps from a cracked rib. He had two more x-rays after that and found that the hole was growing and that the puncture collapsed. the puncture they said was very small from the beginning and i'm not 100% sure that it collapsed. now, they say they need to put in a chest tube in tomorrow. what in the world is the chest tube? how long is it in? is there any visible scars or any side effects to the tube?please help..
A chest tube is literally a plastic tube that is inserted into the chest. It is roughly as big around as a Sharpie marker. It will be inserted between the ribs, just below the armpit. It will drain air and fluid from the pleural cavity (space between the chest wall and lung), which will relieve pressure on the lung and allow it to re-inflate. There are complications that can occur, but they are rare. After the chest tube is removed, there will be a small scar on the chest that is a few inches long. Hope that helps, and I wish your friend a speedy recovery.
Q: How to clean the plastic tube of water dispenser for water dispenser?
Electric water heater is usually automatic water supply, there is one-way valve control backwater. So, generally do not care about water problems, as long as the electric heating on the line, put out is hot water. If the water is not available, it is likely that the water pipe is not water or blocked, and to open the hose in the Sheung Shui place to connect to see if there is a normal outflow of water. If everything here is normal, the water heater is not into the water, and then see if the water is blocked, but also to remove the water from the hose connection. General water heater will not be a problem, the problem is in the valve!
Q: We just got my dad an oxygen tank and we need to connect 5/8 tubing to regular (standard) oxygen tubing. Where do I but the part to connect the tubing? Do they even make something to connect the two? If not how would you go about connecting them?
Their are Home Health Companies that sell Oxygen and supplies. Look in your local Yellow Pages. What you are looking for is a hose barb that fits the Oxygen tubing. A Respiratory Therapy Company should have one or a local Hospital. Check there.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for scientific experiments?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for scientific experiments. They are commonly used in various laboratory settings for tasks such as sample storage, liquid handling, and centrifugation. Plastic tubes offer advantages such as transparency, durability, and compatibility with a wide range of chemicals and temperatures, making them suitable for many scientific applications.
Q: How do you measure the volume of a plastic tube?
To measure the volume of a plastic tube, you can use the formula for the volume of a cylinder, which is πr^2h. Measure the radius (r) of the tube by taking the distance from the center of the circular opening to the edge, and measure the height (h) by determining the length of the tube. Plug these values into the formula, multiply π with the square of the radius and then multiply it by the height to calculate the volume.
