- I would say it should be okay, we usually put a towel under the set when placing on nice furniture. Keep an eye on it for a few days, especially after it is on for several hours. If it gets warm or too hot, you can put squares of felt under the feet of the TV. Even fleece could work for that, if the felt is not long enough.
