Q: I would like to find a good school preferably on the east coast with a really good ceramics department. I don‘t like to drive so major city would be ideal, but I‘m willing to move anywhere if I have to.
Alfred University is supposed to be best. You can also check out the other schools on the ranking list. A ranking list like that may not mean that the top school is really the best school for you specifically, that depends on many other factors, but if you look into any of these school they all should have good facilities and a program which is active. Ideally you would pick a few favorites and visit if that is an option. You would get a much better impression whether it's a place you feel comfortable in and whether the town or city it's in is something you could live in too.
Q: What are the ceramic manufacturing stocks?
burning to 700 degrees, can be pottery, can hold water; burning to 1230 degrees is porcelain, can be completely non absorbent, and high temperature, corrosion resistance. The flexibility of its use in today's culture and technology, there are a variety of creative applications.
Q: im getting a straightener ISO TURBO PRO TOURMALINEIm not sure if its ceramic alsois it okay if its only 100% tourmaline and not ceramic??thankssp.s. i dont need straightener suggestions ciz ive already ordered! thankk yoooh (
Ceramic emits negative ions into your hair, your hair has positive ions in it naturally - your hair is much shinier with ceramic vs non ceramic. Ceramic also eliminates hot spots on the plate surface (when one part of the plate is hotter then the rest causing major damage to the hair). Tourmaline is quite like ceramic, though it is made of 'crushed jewels' tourmaline has the ability to emit even MORE negative ions to your hair then ceramic cantourmaline also uses infra red heat which is much safer for the hair.
Q: I was thinking about painting plates as a birthday party activity (but at home, not at a pottery studio like Color Me Mine.) I‘ve been looking at ceramic bisque online, but I was wondering if you could just paint on a white ceramic dinner plate or is ceramic bisque different than a finished plate. Also, do the plates need to be fired to be food safe or is there another way to do it? I read something about using underglaze and a clear overglaze on top of it, but does that still need to be fired or does the overglaze protect you from the underglaze? If it‘s too much trouble, maybe we‘ll just paint something that isn‘t used for food, but I still want to make sure it‘s non-toxic. Also, any ideas of the cost of firing ceramics? Where is the best place to do this?

Q: I have metal braces on the top and bottom and i‘m about 7 months into my 19 month plan. Would it be a problem to switch to ceramic braces on the top? And would it cost extra to make the change? Thanks
yea its exactly the same
Q: What are the pros and cons of getting clear/ceramic braces??? im getting braces in two weeks, and would like to know which looks better the metal or the clear. i would like pros and cons of each please! thanks!
the clear are not so obvious, the metal you can see a mile away. It also depends on how bad your teeth are, the ceramic are more delicate.
Q: So, I‘m hoping to get my braces on before September and I was wondering if I were to get ceramic ones, would they have the same results as the metal ones? I really want the ceramic ones because they look more appealing and and a lot of my friends are getting their braces off and im about to begin so yeah. i would prefer the clear ones. if there are any people who have had experience w/ clear/ceramic please let me know, tips, how to get the best results would be much appreciated. thanks so much!

Q: I‘m getting ceramic braces. Can i get *light* blue brackets seeing as the clear ones stain easily?.Does that mean the WHOLE braces have to be blue, or can they be silver and then blue brackets in front of the teeth? What is it like having ceramic braces?
i think by brackets you might mean ties? your brackets are the ceramic part. they will be clearish white, and will blend nicely with your teeth. you can put whatever color tie you want on them. the tie is what holds the wire on your brackets. the wire is the only silver you will see. it is thin, and not very noticable with ceramic brackets. most people choose ceramic brackets beacause they are less noticeable. choosing colored ties kind of defeats the point. if you would like to use clear ties, here are some tips to help avoid staining. try to stay away from foods with tomato sauce, like pizza and spaghetti. drink dark liquids, like tea or soda, through a straw. don't smoke! common sense will usually tell you whats gonna stain your braces. be careful, because the brackets can stain too. good luck on your journey to a beautiful smile!
Q: Please, could someone tell me what is less damaging for hair? Im on to buy crimping iron but im not sure about the titanium one. On another site, I don‘t know anything about them. Please help.
i agree with Miss Elaina :) Ceramic plates lock in the moisture which is less drying to your hair than metal or titanium plates. Also, ceramic plates make hair more smoother and shinier and the hair looks healthier because there is less dammage :-) **but you should always use a heat protectant anyways to minimize even more dammage so you dont burn your hair and get major split ends. Hope this helps! ?MoonlightFairy?
Q: My dad is getting an implant next month just wondering which is better, ceramic or metal?
