- Q:Light is considered to be both a wave and made up of particles. By calling it both, do we mean that light is waves of particles?
- Light is made of waves ( based on the quantum theory). It is made up of particles named Photons. People used to think of it as a particle but soon when scientist carried out experiments such as the double slit experiment, it acted differently. The quantum theory is to hard to explain by hand but it is an interesting property and i recommend you finding out what it is. - Because lights do that. We like to think of electric power being constant and reliable, but it's not. Power spikes happen all the time, as do little interruptions. I can be caused by major things affecting the whole power grid, or by someone turning the lights on or off in another room, or anything in between. Light bulbs themselves, which aren't built to last forever, will flicker sometimes for weeks before they finally burn out. Or of course it could be a ghost messing with you. But I'm leaning more towards natural causes.

- i don't think it is anything thing to do with the fuses because the only thing a fuse can do is blow out and that would make your lights stop working, so in the case of the reverse lights ,that could be the problem, but the signal lights are another story because if they are doing what your saying, then someone has crossed the wires and hooked up the signal light wires to your beak lights and usually when people do that ,they have spliced the wire to your break lights and hooked the signal wires into the break light wire, thinking the signals will work because it will have power going to them , but that dosent do anything but mess them up big time , and it does exactly what yours is doing, i would run a check through your system , (not hard at all) and see where your wires are going when they branch off from your bulb on the signal because you will see the problem when you trace the wire, it will probably be connected to another wire with will be the break light wire and you'll need to cut it back off and hook the signal wire back up to your fuse box and put a fuse in, so they will work, do the same check on your break light wire and make sure its all ok, good luck if you need me to explain a little better just let me know.

- The amount of light will not double, since mirrors only reflect about 80% of light that hits them (absorbing 20%). It would be brighter in the room, though. However, if you had a room full of mirrors on all surfaces, the room would be much brigher than a room full of black surfaces, since the light rays will be reflected rather than being absorbed by the dark color.
- Q:I have a fan currently installed without a light. I have a seperate light switch for the fan light which is currently not in use. I would like to install recessed lights in the room and use the fan light switch.At the ceiling I have red, black, white, and green. On my fan light switch, I have red and black. To power my recessed lights, I plan on using the red as my hot lead. However, which wire should I use as my neutral lead, white or black?
- At the ceiling the red and black are your hot wires. One goes thru the fan light switch the other goes thru the light light switch. The white wire is your neutral. Green is ground. When wiring in your new recessed light connect your hot to red, neutral to white and ground to green
