Q:Fluorescent lighting true lighting?
Kayla, this is a good question. The answer actually is it depends. There are different kinds of fluorescent lights, and depending on the color temperature (yes, that's a real term) of the bulb, it changes the way objects look as seen under that light. Cool light has a bluish hue and is typically in the range of 5000k. Warm light has a yellowish hue and typically falls in the range of 2500 to 3500k, by comparison. The typical soft white household bulb tends to be in the 3000k range. The standard long fluorescent tube tends to be on the cold side, which commonly is perceived as being harsh and distorting. The lighting section at Home Depot by us has a display that shows the same. picture under different lights. By looking at this, you can get a good understanding of how the color temperature of a particular bulb affects the way things look. Although actual daylight is on the order of 6500k, that winds up looking very harsh in the context of a home. Cooler lights are brighter, so they are often used in institutional settings, but they are not the kind of warm friendly lights most people want in their homes. This accounts for your feeling that you look your worst under fluorescent lights in a white room - it gives an almost bluish cast to your skin; very harsh! Everybody looks awful under cold fluorescent lights, though some people probably look even worse depending on their natural skin color and clothing....but depending on the specific bulb that's in place, it'll change how everything looks.
Q:Arowana's prefer lights on or lights off?
Fish don't have a preference whether they want the light on that is down to us but all fish should have some light every day
Q:Are rope lights acceptable for cove lighting?
Rope lighting is a common install for cove lights. All you need is an outlet on a switch to turn them on. Most rope light assemblies use 5watt bulbs, so the heat really isn't a factor. As long as the cove molding is open to dissipate the heat.
Q:warning light toyota camry?
The Rear Light Failure Warning Light located on the bottom left side of the dash right? If I am right the warning light goes on when you depressing the brake pedal because there is a failure of the brake lights, make sure that all the break lights are working including the center one, sometimes the bulbs can develop high resistance. Check all the bulbs if any of them do not look completely clear and are burnt looking replace them.
Q:Light as fuel? Light has more of PUSH that a PULL effect but it does not transfer enough energy to move an object to the speed of light else you would have a tough time holding on to your flashlight
Q:How does light do this?
Light has pressure, the same as if the mass it represenst were traveling at the speed of light. It's very tiny, therefore, but real. Newton had no idea of this because it was a little before his time. His own discoveries were revolutionary enough.
Q:How do polaroid absorbs light?
The microscopic crystals in the polaroid are aligned in the same direction. And the molecules in the crystal are alinged in this direction. Electrons in the molecules of these crystals are relatively free to move along one axis of the crystal but not others, because of the arrangement of the atoms in the molecules. If the electric field of incident light is polarised parallel to this axis, it causes a lot of electron movement. The energy given to electrons is then dissipated by being transferred to the surrounding atoms producing a tiny amount of heat For other directions of the electric field of incident light, this energy dissipation is much less - so this light passes through without significant loss of energy.
Q:whats the purpose of a black light?
To find the secret door to Atlantis.Way down below the ocean ,where i wanna be she may be. Me and Joan Baez the beautiful will once again visit the magical land of Atlantis , found with a black light that The beatles used to find Meanie Jeanie blue something land .. Signed Donovan, way down below the ocean is where i want to be she may be
Q:Best room lighting for HDTV?
Best type of lighting for HDTV is of low intensity with shades (indirect lighting). The room should be barely visible with the TV switched off. That's the kind of lighting used while mastering movies too. Kind of lamp- Simple bulbs are preferred since they don't spoil the sine waves and so the sound/picture quality will not be affected. Some companies like Philips have come out with TV's that have an ambient lighting behind the TV. It's supposed to be easy for the eyes. I find it more disturbing but the black levels appear better. Set the lamps so that they don't give out any direct light and you are unable to see any light being reflected off the screen when the TV is off. My room has a low intensity lamp high up on the wall, behind the TV with a shade. I even prefer to switch it off usually. If you really want to indulge in this aspect, I suggest that you start from the link below-
Q:how to make custom fluorescent light fixture?
All fluorescent lights use a ballast to transform the voltage of the available electrical power to the required voltage for specific fluorescent tubes. The ends of the tubes are held in place and connected to the electrical current through the same device, it is called a tombstone. There is usually one tombstone on each end of each fluorescent tube. Buy the black light fluorescent tubes you want, buy a matching ballast, usually one ballast for each two fluorescent tubes, and buy the correct tombstones that will fit the end of the light tubes. There is always a wiring diagram on the ballast, showing how all the color coded wires properly connect to the power supply and the tombstones respectively. Use flame resistant materials to build the fixture. The ballast does not have to be in the fixture, but it does have to be mounted to materials that will not burn and will allow for cooling or venting, as it generates heat.
