Q:I live in an appartment building and the guy downstairs is complaining of noise but won't say what it sounds like or when it is. I'm assuming its coming from our bed when having sex. We have soft laminate floors and don't want to put a rug down as that would ruin the look of the room.Are there any other ideas/ways to soundproof the bed? My knowledge of physics isn't great... Would putting anything under just the legs of the bed make a difference?

go to bed bath and beyond, they make these little rubber cups that go on the bottom of the bed posts. you might also try using wd40 on the joints of the bed (cuts the squeaking down)

I would have to agree that the bigger bed with the guard is a better investment. They also have more room when they roll, and less chance of them waking themselves like in a toddler bed. Toddler beds are only used for a few years, and unless the crib you have converts, it is not worth it.

The bedding is by Andrea Kakel. The bedding was sold at Ikea, but has been out of stock for quite some time. Lately, there has been none on OKorder, overstock, amazon or other places similar to those. I must say, that bedding is very popular! But keep looking, you never know if you'll find it someday(:

If bed bugs are located in bedding material or mattresses, control should focus on mechanical methods of control, such as vacuuming, caulking and removing or sealing loose wallpaper, to minimize the use of pesticides (Frishman 2000). The effectiveness of using steam cleaners or hot water to clean mattresses is questionable. Heat is readily absorbed by the mattress and does no harm to the bed bug in fact the moisture may produce favorable conditions for house dust mites. Pillows should be removed and dry-cleaned or replaced (Snetsinger 1997). For severe infestations, however, pesticides may be used. Care should be taken not to soak mattresses and upholstery with pesticides. Allow bedding and furniture to dry throughly before using.

Q:She will be 1 year old next month. We want to get her a bed. Her beautiful crib was awesome enough to fall apart with her in it! Funny because a week later, it was recalled! Figures... Anyways, we have her in a pack n play and its so hard and bumpy. I know shes not comfy... So we are goign to buy her a bed. Toddler or twin?? I really dont want to fork over a toddler then buy a twin. But shes a monkey. If i get rails i think she might crawl to the edge of the bed and roll off. the difference between a toddler bed and a twin is length mostly... the heighth from the floor is the same, and for a little bit of money you can buy temporary fold down rails at walmart.... back in the good old days there werent toddler beds you simply went from crib to twin. dont foget if the crib got recalled , the company may compensate you.... with another one or replacement parts.

I gave my daughter full freedom to paint her room however she wanted and she got quite creative. The colors were all strong, saturated colors - BRIGHT (not florescent). The ceiling and one wall were BRIGHT lemon yellow, one wall was the color of an orange, and the other two walls were the color of a lime. It was really amazing and definitely made a statement about who she was and how she wasn't afraid to be just that!

Q:we are learning about landslides in my classand ive looked in my book and i cannot find the definition of bedding planeis it the same as the failure plane?or do lanslides occur along the bedding plane?

Layers of sedimentary rocks are called beds. Say, if you drive past a highway road-cut and see layers of limestone, sandstone or shale- the bedding plane is parallel to the layers. The boundary between beds can be a weak point, that might fail and lead to a landslide but the orientation of the bedding plane is important, if the bedding plane slopes downhill, obviously there's a much better chance of a slide, than if the beds are horizontal, or if the beds slope up.

Q:I have a Full size bed and it's just a normal bed with a Box Spring or whatever it's called. I was wondering if I can use it as a Daybed and buy it one of the Daybed headboards? And will it fit right?

A full bed looks best as a daybed without an end frame due to it's size. Simply put the bed long ways on the wall in a corner load the back along the walls with bed accent pillows. This technique will also make the room look bigger especially if the bedding is the same color tone of the walls. The bed would look best with a tailored, split corner bedspread.
