- Q: it is a fraction
- I use Tilex, but use rubber gloves, turn on the bathroom fan and all the windows. A mask wouldn't hurt either. It is powerful!
- Q: Hi, I wonder if Lucas Additive are very good for Mercedes-Benz since their reputation not only for racing but for keeping car longer ( Long Life ) ?and the KN Air filter or Cold air Intake is it good or can damage the engine because of the oil inside the filter, I don‘t want to race with a Mercedes but sometimes I like the Sound of Aggressivity ] ( Vr00m Vr00m )
- The additives were always more marketing than engineering. Like racing drivers use it or keeps the F1 engines running longer. Perhaps, but there's not enough evidence that support it. I'd also leave the intake as it is - the problem with the washable filters is not the oil in them but the so called filtration class. And lower filtration class will just let the dust particles into the engine with all consequences.
- Q: My garages face the west and bake the garage in the afternoon. I added insulation panels on the inside. The color of the doors are a light brown and I think this is causing the doors to heat up alot. Will changing the color to an offwhite reduce the heat uptake significantly. Also, will a paint additive like that from hytech (insulation additive) help? Lastly how much paint should be purchased to paint 2 16x7 doors with coats of paint? Thanks
- I do not know about the paint or the additive but if the door is steel and especially under warranty ( and a lot of newer doors have a big warranty for ORIGINAL paint failure) be sure to check the manufacturers' instructions for painting. I do not see a lot of adhesion failures but when they occur they are spectacular. I do know that in general all chalking should be removed and the surface can be etched with TSP but the makers' guidelines are your best bet. Many firms print instructions so you might want to get a copy just in case. Some local door companies do not know what they are talking about and will not care if your door peels because of their incorrect advise. PS If your door is wood panel or flush masonite most makers will say you have voided the warranty with a dark color.
- Q: -5/10, 13/6, -4/1Please Explain how to give these fractions a multiplicative and additive inverse! Help!
- multiplicative inverse is the same as reciprocal. It is what you multiply the fraction by to get 1. -5/10 ---- -10/5 13/6 ---- 6/13 -4/1 ---- -1/4 additive inverse is what you add to get 0, so basically it is just the opposite sign: -5/10 ---- +5/10 13/6 ---- -13/6 -4/1 ---- +4/1 that's it! ;)
- Q: Does Disneyland put food additive to make you more hungry? When going to Disneyland and eating it appears everyone is more hungry and thristy after having a meal there, do you or has anyone heard they add something to increase these things???
- NO! of course not! it's just because when you go to disneyland you are more active. which makes you have a larger appetite because you are burning more calories and energy! lol. (and their food is amazingly good!! That helps too.)
- Q: Please give an example definition! THANKS! :)
- the sum of any additive and its inverse is always zero: x + (-x) 0
- Q: What is the best source of Organic Acai that doesnt have any added ingredients or additives?
- the spelling is diffrent .
- Q: Is starch an additive?
- I think it is not entirely, food additives are used to improve the quality of food, to extend the food shelf life, to facilitate food processing and increase the nutritional content of food a class of chemical synthesis or natural substances. But starch harmless to the human body, no limited use, and Some ingredients, accessories also have to improve the role of food, it should be ingredients or accessories
- Q: recommend and why would you recommend it.
- There was an article on Consumer Reports a few years ago that examined whether the additives did any good. They found that they didn't have an effect at all. In fact, oil manufactures said they spend millions of dollars formulating their additive packages, and dumping in other chemicals defeats the purpose. The article also found that there was no actual benefit to using synthetic oil over conventional oil. There is nothing you can dump into your engine that will fix something that is broken. I once read an article that recommended using high detergent diesel oil in engines that were showing signs of sludge build-up, but that was the only scientific sounding advice I have ever heard when it comes to deviating from changing your oil at the factory intervals with an appropriate grade of SAE oil. The only scientific proof that additives help comes from the additive manufacture, and the same goes for synthetic oil. That only goes for crank-case oil in automotive engines though. Motorcycles, gear boxes and transmissions can be a different story entirely.
- Q: is an additive inverse of a number always negative?
- The additive inverse is only negative if you take the additive inverse of a POSITIVE number. However, if you take the additive inverse of a NEGATIVE number then the answer would be positive.
