Q: Find the additive inverse (opposite) of:18/23?
Spend your money on a training course - you learn a lot more about motorcycles after a couple of days of expert tuition than you will ever learn from a book.
Q: I have an 03 Ford Focus and after a friend ran a diagnostic, it turns out the fuel pump needs to be replaced. Ive always put low grade gas in my car but never bothered w/ fuel additives. As a result, sometimes the car will stall and lose power especially when in 3rd gear. Will using fuel additives help or is it too late for that?
I would test the fuel pressure. One big thing I would do is replace the fuel filter, which should be done every 50,000-100,000 depending on the vehicle. They clog up and will hinder fuel flow. Another possibility is the fuel pressure regulator. I would replace the fuel filter, and then run a fuel pressure test though to see where it's at and if it's in specs. Hopefully that fixes it. If not, then test your fuel pressure regulator. If that's good, and your fuel pressure is still down, then yes, replace the pump. Fuel additives will probably not help at this stage, although Lucus injector cleaner is awesome for cleaning your fuel injectors.
Q: Explain why every integer has an additive inverse. Then identify the integer that its own additive inverse.?
Two numbers are additive inverses if they add up to 0. In general n + (-n) 0 Since there exists a number -n for every integer n, every integer has an additive inverse. To find the number n that is it's own additive inverse: n + n 0 2n 0 n 0 Zero is its own additive inverse.
Q: The fact that all colors on older televisions were created by combining only three different colors of light supports the _ theory of color vision. Can anyone fill this in for me please? I know it has to be either additive color mixing or trichromatic...Thanks!
Additive color theory states that RGB are the additive primaries and a mixture of these colors creates all other colors (this is in contrast to subtractive theory which uses CMY) Although RGB color space is mapped to the visual system via xyz colors, where the full circuit would be thus: RGB>xyz>x-bar,y-bar,z-bar>Yuv>RGB Our eyes actually work on a 2 channel binary system. This means that instead of having three channels of R-G-B (a component system) we have a channel for Red vs Green and a channel for Blue vs Yellow (an opposition) system. Bottom line: Since trichromatic theory includes yellow, it has to be the additive color mixing theory which, although archaic is still heavily used
Q: After doing some research I found that gasoline quality is very poor right now. And I am looking for a fuel additive that will help keep emissions down as well as increase MPG; however, I want to know if these products will void my warranty.
The answer to that question is simply no. No OEM can void a warranty due to use of a product. This is actually federal law the Magnuson/Moss Warranty Act. Unless a manufacturer has proof that an additive does not meet the specification of its product it cannot void the warranty. The testing to prove that an additive does not meet the specification is 1.5 million for diesel engines and over $500,000 for gasoline. A series of tests are run called Sequence. Unless an additive is seriously creating damage no oil company or OEM will spend the time or money to test an additive. Also, because you would have to test each additive with every lubricant the cost would be prohibitive. So for this reason the oil manufacturers and oil companies put out a statement that the use in of itself of an additive does not void the warranty. They reserve the right to test but this would be rare as most additives have already gone through a battery of tests to prove they are beneficial. Additives do not void a warranty and any one that says they do is incorrect!
Q: Food additives use requirements
The use of food additives should be consistent with the relevant provisions of the state, using accurate measurement tools weighing, and a detailed record.
Q: my 97 chev pu has 144000 miles on it and is using 1 to 2 qts per oil change. should i use a additive?
Hi I think it is valve seals. On deceleration you cant see any smoke so get a friend to follow you down a hill to see what they see. If there is smoke you can get the seals replaced. If your plugs are fowling get the job done. If not don't worry about it. Take care!
Q: I‘m getting 20-some miles per gallon, but the prices at the pump really hurt.
Everytime gas goes up or there is a shortage, charlatans come out of the woodwork with all sorts gadgets and gimmicks for increasing fuel mileage. When tested in the lab, none produce the claimed results and any that work at all don't increase it enough to justify the cost of the product. Your best bet is to keep the car tuned properly, keep the tires properly inflated and reduce the weight by cleaning out the junk in the trunk. Your only other options would be to drive less (by grouping errands, carpooling or use other forms of transportation) or to trade the car for something that gets higher mileage.
Q: Does adding fuel additives to your tank really help increase your MPG?
No, it does not. Once a year you should use a fuel system cleaner called BG 44K to clean the injection system and valves. Other than that you're just wasting money.
Q: what are 3 additives foundin three different foods, and what areb they for?
Food additives are substances added to food to preserve flavor or improve its taste and appearance. Some additives have been used for centuries; for example, preserving food by pickling (with vinegar), salting, as with bacon, preserving sweets or using sulfur dioxide as in some wines. With the advent of processed foods in the second half of the 20th century, many more additives have been introduced, of both natural and artificial origin.
