Q: I am in the process of building a box and I wanted to use plastic to build it. I want to find a plastic that is strong, yet light weight and durable. The design calls for thinner sheets of plastic. So my question is what type of plastic is strong, thinner, lightweight, and still on the cheap side, and where would I be able to buy this plastic?
Home Depot seels 10 mill plastic.
Q: suggest two ways of converting transparent plastic sheet into translucent sheet
Ah, the twisted good judgment of activities information. For the sub to get the clean sheet not often seems honest, quite if he performed purely a constrained nunber of minutes. It strikes me that with a view to get the credit for the shutout, the keeper needs to play a definite minimum time (60 minutes seems functional). evaluate baseball stats: with a view to be credited with a win, a beginning pitcher might desire to play a minimum of five (of 9) innings and be optimal whilst replaced. A sub coming in to close the game gets credited with a save, so the two pitchers come away with something. different than save could be a perplexing call for a goalkeeping stat.
Q: What are the different textures available for plastic sheets?
There are various textures available for plastic sheets, including smooth, glossy, matte, textured, embossed, and patterned finishes.
Q: Why is tarm paper or plastic sheeting put under hardwood floors?
1. Vapor barrier. 2. Cushion. 3.To allow the floor to move as it expands and contracts on drying/absorbing moisture. (You leave a gap at the edge don't you?)
Q: I am trying to imitate corrugated plastic (the translucent quality) but in a larger scale. Is there something you recommend I use? thanks!
I have sprayed glass with a very light coat of cheap white spray paint, and it gives it the frosted look. I bet the same would apply to acrylic.
Q: I'm trying to learn Gauss's law and I'm having trouble with these two questions.1. Consider a long cylindrical charge distribution of radius R = 17 cm with a uniform charge density of ρ = 17 C/m3. Find the electric field at a distance r = 35 cm from the axis. I know E= 2k_e*(lamda/r), but the question gave rho, which is confusing me.2. A 12 g piece of Styrofoam carries a net charge of -9.1 ?C and floats above the center of a large horizontal sheet of plastic that has a uniform charge density on its surface. What is the charge per unit area on the plastic sheet? I got to the point where I had the charge density = -mg(epsilon_0)/q, but apparently that is not the correct answer, and I don't know where to go from here.Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)
1. Since it's a volume charge distribution , charge = rho*volume . Take a cylindrical gaussian surface of length 'h' at distance r from the axis . Now , E*2pie*r*h = q/epsilon = rho*pie*r^2*h/epsilon . which gives E = rho*r/2epsilon . 2. The electric field due to non-conducting sheet is sigma/2epsilon which gives your answer sigma = -2mg(epsilon)/q . The electric field due to conducting plate is sigma/epsilon since it has two effective surfaces with charge . You must have got confused there . Hope this helps .
Q: Can plastic sheets be used for greenhouse siding?
Yes, plastic sheets can be used for greenhouse siding. They are commonly used due to their affordability, durability, and ability to allow light transmission while retaining heat.
Q: What are the temperature limits for plastic sheets?
The temperature limits for plastic sheets can vary depending on the type of plastic. However, most plastic sheets have a temperature range of -20°C to 70°C (-4°F to 158°F) before they may start to deform or lose their structural integrity. It is important to consult the specific specifications or manufacturer guidelines for the plastic sheet in question to ensure proper usage within the recommended temperature limits.
Q: i'm looking for some clear plastic sheets (similar to laminating) that i can use a dry erase markers on and place over the whiteboard in my classroom - for putting music notes on the staff etc.i don't want to rewrite them over and over. since there is no laminator in my school, i am at a loss for what to use. of course i can by laminating rolls. anything else i can use and where to get it?
Would blank transparencies be the right size to use?
Q: In my 8th grade art class my teacher had us do a project that involved contrast. We had to use this type of paper and cut out parts of the white so that the black would show through and there would be contrast between the full white and full black areas. I can't remember the name of it and would like to get some for hobby purposes. It was a black sheet of something that was sort of plastic-like and was somewhat reflexive. Then directly on top of that was a sheet of normal paper stuck to the black sheet. If anyone could tell me the name of this paper that would be great. Also if there are any common stores that I could get it at. Maybe Michaels?
