Q:Can a bear bend steel?
depends how thick the steel is. Looking at it, I would say yes. Not the frame pieces, but just the walls of the pool.
Q:steel or vinyl siding?
I'd like to know why you need to re-side it. I would get vinyl because it will not need painting as soon as steel.
Q:carbon steel?
All steel has carbon in it, usually less than 1%. The fancy steels that have enough other elements mixed in are generally called alloy steels. So, carbon steel usually refers to the most basic cheap steel. A36 is a kind of carbon steel that meets specific standards of the A36 specification. I don't know what 01 carbon steel is. Steel is available all over Los Angeles so just look in the phone book yellow pages under steel or metal. If you are near El Monte, my favorite place is Industrial Pipe and Steel, lots of cheap scrap, used machinery, and a huge industrial hardware store built right in. There is a place in Gardena called MK Metals. There's a great place just north of the Burbank airport (can't remember the name) and one in Harbor City called Action Metals (big on recycling). No sense driving all over. Just check the phone book. Two very common carbon steels just go by the terms hot rolled and cold rolled. Hot rolled is the cheapest and softest and still has the mill scale attached so the surface is a little rough and uneven, but this is by far the most commonly used. Cold rolled (usually the AISI 1018 grade) has been work hardened and rolled flat and smooth. It's slightly more expensive but stronger and prettier. If you are going to cut away some of the thickness and you want the steel to remain flat, you probably want hot rolled steel because sometimes the cold rolled steel (CRS) will warp. It does that because the steel is already prestressed from the cold rolling process and when you cut away some of the pre-stressed material the forces holding the material flat are no longer balanced.

Q:Is EN10025 S355JR weathering steel?
*EN 10 025 S355JR/JO is comes under structural steel catagories. Equivalent standard is-ASTM A 572 Gr 50. -Above areHigher strength micro-alloyed steel. -The above-mentioned structural steel grades may be welded using any of the standard metal arc and resistance welding processes, usually without any special precautions.
Q:Lead vs steel chokes?
You should not have done this. It not a matter of shooting fine - it's a question of getting the correct distance and shot pattern SAFELY. Lead only chokes squeeze the lead shot a considerable bit. Lead is compressive and soft - it takes more squeeze to get the correct patterns from a shotgun. Steel only chokes do not squeeze as much as the lead version because the steel is very had and does not compress well. When you accidentally shoot lead through a steel chock the pattern will be weird. But, it usually is not an unsafe condition. However, steel through a lead choke will cause unsafe pressure at the choke and can explode. You end up with a bugs bunny/road runner cartoon looking shotgun! Most gun shops all over the USA are decorated with these blown up shotguns from people doing exactly what you did. Unless you want to add yours to the other dead gun collection in some shop - I recommend you take your shotgun and all your chokes into a gun smith and have him look it all over. See if anything is out of tolerance. Guns are not fool proof. If you do not follow the instructions and operate them safely they will blow up and tear a piece of your body off. Just ask any ER doctor or long time shooter.
Q:stainless steel cookware sticking?
Welcome to the life of stainless steel cookware. Make sure you have plenty of steel wool handy. It took my wife and I some getting used to, but we now love our set.
Q:big steel drum grill?
yes that keeps the fat from dripping on the burners - just try it - it works.
Q:Hardenability of steel?
Bit tricky to explain and I don't know muh about it but steel on its own has lost of gaps in it ( the molecular structure) and when carbon is added thos gaps are filled, I think of it like this: it is easier to punch through expanded polystyrene( with all the little balls) than unexpanded(just a lump of plastic) as the balls are not properly joined and have air pockets between them.
Q:Question about steel studs.?
Ask a Carpenter friend where you can buy metal studs. There should be a large drywall supplier somewhere close to your area - they usually also stock metal studs and ceiling grid that sort of all goes together for contractors. You will have a choice of 20 or 25 gauge studs track. 25 gauge is pretty flimsy so I suggest using 20 gauge. Get a small box of tek screws to attach studs to track. Also get some self drilling drywall screws 1+5/8 for 5/8 thick gyp bd. or 1+1/4 for 1/2 gyp bd. I would also buy MR drywall (moisture resistant) for any work in a basement. Another tip : Buy some 1x4 composite trim boards to use for your bottom plate. Clean the slab good where you plates will go, then use some Liquid Nails hd and glue your plates down to the slab. That way you won't be drilling holes in the slab that could allow water to seep up through them. The composite trim will not wick moisture and it will keep your metal studs up off the floor should you ever have a water problem in the bathroom. Keep your drywall up off the floor about 1/2 by laying a scrap pc. of drywall against the plate before you hang the board. Allow enough room to line the perimeter of your door frame with 2x 4 vs. metal stud. It makes it easier installing the door and trim.
