- I think the tin foil is harmless but what they are smoking could be dangerous ive smoked weed for years with homemade devices that include tin foil i am perfectly fine just make sure your kids arent smoking crack or somthing and making pipes out of bottles and such can be dangerious if they are melting the plastic
