1. Description of the Hot-dip Aluzinc Steel:

Hot-dip aluzinc steel structure is composed of aluminum-zinc alloy, consisting of 55% aluminum, 43% zinc and 2% at 600 ℃ silicon solidification temperature and composition, the entire structure is made of aluminum - iron - silicon - zinc, to form a dense quaternary crystals an alloy.

Hot-dip aluzinc steel has many excellent features: strong corrosion resistance, is three times the pure galvanized sheet; zinc surface with beautiful flowers, can be used as a building outside board.

Applications of hot-dip aluzinc steel:

1)Building: roof, walls, garages, soundproof walls, pipes and modular housing.

Depends on what you mean by better. Steel is more difficult to work with and now more expensive. Glulam can do everything that you need in a home. You would be able to span further with steel, but that is not usually an issue in a home. Personally I would use glulam.

The price of steel is increasing daily, so an exact answer is rough. A W10x30 is a fairly common shape and shouldn't be too hard to find. For a very rough ballpark number, say $700/ton (installed price), the piece you require should be in the range of about $250.00 or less as I assume you'll be doing the installing. Please don't take this as the gospel, however. Price varies on location, stock, and availability. Open the phone book and contact your local steel supplier. Because the piece you require is fairly short, you might get lucky and find someone who has a waste piece that length that they will give you a good deal on. --------------------------------------... I just checked the AISC web site to verify the number I quoted above and they posted an article stating that the average mill price had just increased to over $1000/ton in May. The best advice I can provide at this point is to buy the W10 now and don't wait any longer.

Q:Hello... I'd like to know where I can find proof of this answer as well please. My own searching didn't come up with anything concrete.I'd like to know how much the ambient temperature inside of a hollow steel tube would rise by if the outside of that tube was exposed to an 1100 degree flame for a period of 3 seconds.If specifics help, they are something along the lines of 3.125 O.D. tube, 0.35 wall thickness. High grade steel, can't be more specific than that sorry.Thanks for any answers!
I can asnswer this from practical experience. If the tube is sealed, temperature would rise approx. 25 deg F. If the tube were open the temperature would be less that a 10 deg F rise. The exact answer can be found in any book on thermodynamics.
