Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve
The body of ball valve is full welded, selects high quality forged material, and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body. This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others, and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter, lighter and stronger.Besides, the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing, makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball. The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.
Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball
The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion, and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements. When plate adopted, the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium, but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve. The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium. This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves, and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used, and the cost is cut down.
ball valve seat is floating structure, means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.
(Ⅰ)Double piston effect structure seat of full welded forged steel ball valve
Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.
(Ⅱ)Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring, set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded, which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat; When there is pressure generated from medium, the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference, thus the second seal forms. When the medium pressure is rising. It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation, then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.
(Ⅲ)Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction, the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition, medium requirement, seal requirement, etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve, installed on the body, which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force. When secondary seal is required, there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring. The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball, and then stop the leakage.

- Q: after my hot water tank shuts off about 1/4 cup of water comes out therelief valve. i changed the relief valve. the tank is 6 months old
- Do you mean the heating (burner or heating coils) shuts off. If that is the case then you may need an expansion tank. If there is a reverse flow valve at your meter (most locations now require this feature to prevent back flow of water to the main line.) the pressure in your system can build up higher than normal when the hot water tank is heating. Most systems have a small expansion tank installed near the hot water heater to deal with this problem.
- Q: My house has hot water baseboard heat. In the basement, there is a wood burning stove (now it is like a radiator) that has the pipe system going through it Between the pipe in and the pipe out is a valve. Does it have to be opened or closed all the way? There is no other way to control the heat in the basement I was thinking of opening the valve half way, but I do not want to destroy the valve.
- you can definitely close the valve half way. Most gate valves or ball valves i install aren't fully open because if its completely open overtime that valve can seize up and never close again.
- Q: I have a 2004 rmz 250 i was wondering if i could get some specific details on how to adjust and the spec's for the intake valves... thanks
- Buy a manual for your bike. The question is far too broad to be answered here due to the complex nature of a modern valve train, like found on your RMZ. It involves removing the intake and exhaust camshafts to gain access to the shims underneath the buckets on top of the valves. You must know where to time the cams again in relation to the crank otherwise, it is very possible to destroy your engine if not installed properly...Hence the advice on obtaining a quality service manual beforehand... It's also why the shops charge a seemingly extortionate amount.
- Q: okay, where the dome is on the head (where the flat part of the valves sit) the intake is uneven and the air+gas mixture escapes threw the open space when the piston goes up into the compression stage, and ignites shooting flames out of my exhaust port. the space is small but u can see light threw it when the valve sits there. Would some kind of Liquid metal work? or gas+heat resistant epoxy work to take the place of the missing space? I would file it but that would not be precise and time consuming, and i would buy a new head for $150, but the dealer doubles that price! and no way am i paying $300 for a new head. any comments would be well appreciated!
- Do as Guardrail Jim says. Liquidmetal won't take the heat.
- Q: what are the factors should be know to select a control valve for specified application
- control valve is an uni-directional (non-return) valve, some of the factors to be aware of before selecting it....identify application character, select the valve size, select the valve end connection, piping layout and valve orientation , maintenance requirement , actuation requirement , initial cost ..etc..
- Q: Are these valves are a kind of heart chambers pressure sensors? What is keeping them interlocked 2x2?
- It's all mechanical. The valves are passive things kind of like a screen door. When you push on them from one side they open, when you push on them from the other they close. The valves are assisted by some fibers attached to the inside of the heart similar to the way a screen door is helped by a spring attached to the door frame. It's the flowing blood that pushes the valves open or closed as the heart pumps. The path that the blood follows in the heart as it beats happens to make it so that the valves close two at a time. This is because the heart is actually four separate pumps that work two at a time. There's no direct electrical connection to the SA node. The only way they're connected is that the SA node firing is what causes the heart to pump, causing the blood to force the valves open.
- Q: I have adjusted the valve clearance twice, I still have a noise on the #2 cylinder intake. What might be causing this?
- Assuming that you have adjusted the valve clearance properly, there are still a few other things that can cause valve noise: a) cam lobe wear as already mentioned, b) valve sleeve/guide wear c) wornout/necked valve stem d) wornout rocker arm (lobe or sleeve) e) wornout rocker arm shaft f) weak valve springs
- Q: I have a 4 diameter column of water 10' tall (filled with water). I need to find a flush valve unit to fit into the bottom of it so that it will flush all of the water out of the column in 1 flush. Essentially this will act as a large toilet but it is for a design project at school. My concerns are that the flapper will close before the water is completely flushed out of the column. Is there any way I can make the flapper stay open thus flushing all the water in column out without holding the chain connecting the float to the flapper valve?
- Flapper valves are all about weight and pivot points and center of gravity. The air bubble inside the plug acts like a ping pong ball initially, holding the flapper open. When the water gets down to the level of the flapper, it tends to close too soon as you point out. But you can attach a smal plastic cup to the back of the flapper that fills with water and holds the flapper open when the water level is very low. You put a small hole in the bottom of the cup so that the water in the cup slowly drains out and finally the cg shifts and the flapper closes.
- Q: My car has been sputtering and hesitating when I hit the gas. My friend's boyfriend says it is a bad erg valve does that sound right?
- If the EGR valve is opening on Acceleration yes this would cause hesitation, but you have to find out why it is opening if it is.If there is a solenoid controlling the EGR valve this might be the problem. If you can put your finger under the EGR valve when the engine is idling, rev then engine up in park,if you feel the valve opening it is most likly the solenoid
- Q: 1st valve: this valve used to never cause me trouble at all. THen, suddenly it would stick at the end of the press. I took it home, washed it, cleaned out the casing with the casing brush, cleaned out the holes with a mouthpiece brush, and wiped it clean. Then, i put a bit of oil and it worked fine. Then next morning, i took it out for a second and found it was sticking again. It worked fine afterthat, but why would a valve to that?2nd: this valve is very troublesome. It's sticky for no reason. i did the same thing as the first, but it stayed stuck3rd. Weird valve. One day, i dropped my trumpet (not like down the stairs or anything, just while sitting) and this valve just messed up. What happened, was that when the valve was screwed in all the way, it would be stuck. however, when i unscrewed halfwayor a little less it worked amazingly well. Can a slightly unscrewed valve affect your playing (aside from the clicking noise). Can a valve get dented, causing this?
- I think the reason why your valves are sticking is because they are building up sludge from being oiled too much, and yes, that does happen frequently. Remove the valves carefully, wipe them off thoroughly with a clean cloth, replace them correctly, and lightly oil them. Then try pushing the valves a bit before playing.
