- Q: They can see a good place to anchor it but they won't start to build the scaffolding. I've used different builders and tried different bits of the paths, but its just not working. What do I do?
- Hey love, I'll try to help but right now I'm pretty exhausted so it won't be my best. I am going to link a website that has tips and tricks, and hopefully you'll see something that fits. I hate when I get provided a link that doesn't though, so I also suggest posting to the forum on the website. Strategy guide may be a good place to start. They are all die hard fans, and always happy to help. I assure you your question will be answered very quickly once you sign up. I wish I could help more, but I was more of a VV2 player. If you don't get the help you need from the forum, edit and I will look when I am able to think. ;) Also, do you think it may be a glitch or just something your missing? - Q: i had it done 2/3 months ago, it was fine at first but now on each end i have two lumps on my ear:S there relitavely smal...the size of like a really tiny pea.there really painfull and sore and quite red and sometimes they scab over with yellowy crust [yes i know sounds disguisting]im just a bit worried that its gone all weird or are these normal? am i cleaning it right?
- I had the same situation occur when I got my scaffold/industrial done. I wouldn't be too concerned. The lumps are called hypertrophic scars, and supposedly they are pretty common and are caused by overcleaning, harsh products, or (as I think was my case) general irritation from the jewelry moving repeatedly back and forth through the piercing or being bumped around or rubbed/touched. Mine lasted quite a long time. Try leaving your piercing alone for a couple of days. Then salt water solutions or compresses are supposed to help the lumps to heal, and I also used tea tree oil and neosporine intermittently. Hot compresses like a heated washcloth applied to the area help to reduce the lumps, as well. Sometimes it's recommended to try another type of jewelry, like titanium, or switch temporarily to two separate bars. You might also try finding a really gentle cleanser/soap. I just kept my original piercing, using the above techniques off and on, and after months of the lumps remaining red and sore, they just went away totally. Just keep your eye out for any pussing (hypertrophic scars ooze, but they don't usually pus), increased swelling, and the area feeling very hot- these are signs of infectiona nd you should see your doc right away. - Q: i had my scaffold piercing done in the summer holidays and wen i went back to school (currently in my last year) they told me to take it out so i had to go back to the piercer. They changed the bar to two clear retainers in the holes so they wouldn't heal, now it hurts all the time and is red with a bubble on the top of my ear, any suggestions as to what i should do? :/

- Haven't read this book in years but I believe he goes back to the scaffold at night because he is being eaten away by guilt. It is a type of redemptive action, just as Hester had to stand there and be judged for her sins he feels the need to also stand there on the scaffold with Hester (theoretically) and be judged/punished as well, the only difference, of course, is that he does it under the cloak of night, when no one can see him.

- That first answer is correct. When I worked as a construction electrician back in the 1980's the OSHA requirements were not so strict, but now the harnesses and tie-offs are required for any work platform over 6' from the ground.

- Helix will be less painful. It's kind of obvious that it would be a helix is probably one of the easiest piercings you can get I got mine done when I was like 13 and I didn't even flinch getting it done. A scaffold is definitely more intense. After all there are 2 incisions for this piercings so it's gong to be twice as tough. It's sore haling too, the bar is awkward and when it moves it hurts. A helix is far easier :)

- Q: hi, ive had my scaffolding for a little over a month now, and one of the holes has started going really weird. on the top, its swollen and sore on one side, and on the bottom, its the same but on the opposite side. not sure if its infected ir being rejected by ear, which ive heard can happen. i would like to keep it in if possible,as i love it. any help welcomed :) thanks xx
- I've also had my scaffolding and I had the same issue. It was totally normal, I went back to the peircing place and asked if this was regular for the piercing. They said it was and to proceed with the cleaning process etc. they said it just has scabs because its healing :)
