Q: Come on LadyLinda girl
Lmao you know that I do What is wrong with you? Do we have to go in the mud again? Because we need to revisit that issue. *kisses*
Q: I have an idea for something I would like to make and sell. I would like to be able to stamp or cut a fairly simple shape out of flexible plastic sheets, a bit like margarine tub plastic. What machine/device/tool would I need to be able to cut or stamp this shape (and yes, I know scissors would work, but I would like to be able to make quite a few)
A die cutter is one method. You can see simple versions at craft stores, it is like a cookie cutter with a sharpened edge. However, these cost a bit to have custom made, and they get dull. A CNC milling machine or Laser cutter could cut these out. A computer controlled engraving machine with the right bit could do this, too. The drawback is that it isn't incredibly fast, but you can change the shape at any time. CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control, what that means is that, like a Laser cutter you draw it on the computer. Then it uses a small spinning bit to cut out the plastic. Engraving machines are purpose-built CNC milling machines.
Q: I want to build a table and for the top i would like it to be a sheet of cloudy or frosted plexiglass or perhaps acrylic about 3' x 6', so light can shine through it. Which is cheaper? Where can i find them?
You could google translucent plastic sheet and see if you get any products of interest. Alternately, you could purchase your plastic sheet and have someone hit it lightly with a sandblaster. If you create an artistic pattern or shield to go over part of the plastic, you'll get a picture where the clear plastic is surrounded by cloudy plastic. Good luck!
Q: With what glue can you stick glass and plastic board firmly?
Room temperature (25 DEG C) the adherend processing clean, then the material mixed with the ratio of 1:1 with visual glue and B glue coated A after 3 minutes to be coated on the surface of the adhesive, fixed 5-10 minutes positioning.
Q: Can plastic sheets be used for greenhouse panels?
Yes, plastic sheets can be used as greenhouse panels. They are commonly used due to their affordability, durability, and ability to provide insulation and light diffusion for plants.
Q: in one of the simpsons episodes bart trys to buy a plastic sheet of scratchy that they use to make the cartoons. it ends up just being scratchys arm. what are those plastic sheets called again?
It is actually spelled, cel, with one L.
Q: I did some repair work under my trailer, and had to slit open my plastic to get to it. Now I have replaced the insulation, but I need to put the plastic back together. The slit is big enought that I need to put another piece of plastic over the hole. I only have wood available on one side. On that side, I can use my hand stapler and staple it into the wood. Then one side has a metal edge. And the other two sides I just need to connect it to the existing plastic. The staples will just fall out if I put them from plastic to plastic. How do I this this correctly?
You might try taping the new plastic sheeting with the red tape used for vapour barrier. It's the only tape I know that will reliably stay stuck to plastic. All the others give up after a while. Use the heavy vapour barrier plastic, and I would tape all the edges of it, stapled or otherwise, with the red tape so as to prevent moisture from getting in. On the metal edge, perhaps a construction adhesive would be best though you may have to support or tape the plastic temporarily until it cures. Do that side last, I think, so most of the plastic is already supported and it won't fall down with adhesive all over it before the other sides are in place.
Q: I recently got a (Guitar) Pick Puncher for someone, and I want to supply them with some plastic sheets to punch them out of... I have come across the name Plike but I don't know if that's just one specific name brand. I would like to know where to get it also, and assume I might be able to go to michaels craft store.. I would like to have a name for them to search in the computer database in case I walk in, can't find it, and then the person I ask has no clue either.. Any help is appreciated. Thanks a bunch!
They generally aren't sold that way (or weren't, who knows what scrap booking has innovated) but were sold as 9x12 or 8x10 sheets named after the plastic - styrene, acrylic, PVC, and so on. Someone making their own picks is likely to take odd pieces and then sand the end to thin it.
Q: Why is there a gap of 1 mm between the plastic mould, A plate and B plate? Is there a gap between the die and the die?
Personally think that you should strengthen the basic knowledge of mold. Mold Jen is the true shape of the product cavity, if there is a gap between the mold, fitter no way out, why should match the mold or die, the mold is not the mold
Q: I would like to put some plastic sheets on the windows of my apartment, preferably on the inside since I live on a high rise and can't reach the exterior. I've seen these plastic sheets that you can put on that partially block (or make hazy) how much you can see inside (especially at night when things are dark outside and the lights on on inside). What are they called and does anyone know where I can get them (preferably online)? Thanks!
I do the same thing but with Saran wrap. Using rolls of tape to seal it completely. Works great.
