You could just get window hardware that takes the place of a tieback, that matches your drapery hardware and the curtain/drape just hooks over that rather than using an actual tieback. To use your tieback, you need a hook that will hold the two ends. Depending on how you want the curtains/drapes to fall and the fullness of them will depend on where you put the hook - further out from the window if very full. Yes, generally you would just leave the tieback there, hanging out, until you use them again. Usually though, where you place the hook will allow the drapes/curtains to cover the tieback when not in use (as well as the hook).

Q: I have very light orange (beigy orange) curtains tailored in traditional style (valence and sheer curtails and drapes with tie backs etc for a huge master bedroom with a cathedral ceiling. The bed rooms huge so I am not worried about it looking smaller when painted with dark colors. However will chochlate brown be too dark? too heavy? I personally LOVE lighter shades on the walls but I made a mistake and I now have to work with these light orange curtains.. so I am stuck! So my question is if I paint two opposite walls chochlate brown and the other warm beige and put these light orange curtains and buy a chochlate/beige (more beige less chochlate) comforter set.. will I be adding myself to the ugly house list?Any other color suggestions???/ Please help!!!: I love orangy shades....especially the peach and pale coral shades. Q: Hi guys,I just have one more question regarding something I am unsure about. I am doing a piece of coursework and I am designing a building which has three storeys, with the first utilising glass curtain walling on three elevations and brick on the rear elevation.My building has two separate entrances, one at the front and one at the side but in separating those spaces, I have a load bearing partition which attaches to the curtain walling on one elevation of the building.I have an idea but I am not 100% sure how that brick load bearing internal partition would connect properly to the steel frame/curtain walling system.Any help please, it would be much appreciated.: u would not fix 2 the curtain wall.u would have a steel or brick footing/bearer/post supporting rsj/steel beam...if i understand your q correctly

Q: Do I take the least bit of color like the eyes and use that? But maybe lighter?: Without an image, it's hard to say--what color are the eyes? I think you might be safe in choosing white or another neutral color, perhaps even gray. You don't want colors competing with each other, especially in a small space, and I think if you choose something neutral, it would allow your wonderful shower curtain to really take center stage. I'd consider the gray, myself, but not just any old gray. Look at many of them, and get just the right depth of color to show off your shower curtain without making your bath look like a dungeon.
