- Q: Hey guysWhen I put in my power cable, I can turn on my laptop, but as soon as I take it off, it shuts off. Why isn't it charging it ?Thanks alot in advance
- Your laptop hates you
- Q: Hi everyone, I recently purchased a PS3 used not slim and am having a tough time with it. For one, I don't even know how to charge my four red dot blinking controller and turn on the ps3. I'm wondering since I got everything hooked up but still not even a red dot on the ps3 when I put in the power cable at the end there is that thing with the three things sticking out, where do I put that? Like a place where I charge my phone? I think that's why I'm having problems. Thanks.
- ok. the PS3 uses a standard 3 prong plug, similar to what your PC would use. plug that in, and then into the wall. older PS3's also have a power switch right above the power cord. you have to turn the system on here. after you filp the switch, the PS3 enters standby mode. on to your controller you should have gotten a very short usb cable. the larger end plugs into the system.the smaller into the controller. push the PS button on the center of your controller to sync it. it should go from 4 flashing lights to one. then, it should steady flash position 1 to show that it is charging. one it is charged, or when the usb cable is removed, you should get a steady light. no flashes.
- Q: i just want to select the power cable but i m having some confusion that when we select single core power cable we take current rating of that conductor but if we say 3-core cable has 200A capacity then it means that each core has this capacity or it is the the capacity of overall 3-cores
- Current ratings for conductors are based on several factors including conductor type (Copper, Aluminum, other), insulation material (thermoplastic, rubber, asbestos composition), ambient temperature, length, exposure to weather, and numerous other factors stipulated by the NEC or local Code. The ratings are usually given for a single conductor in free air. Mulitiple current carrying conductors which share a conduit, raceway, or any other enclosure must be derated appropriately. See the source below for Code reference and rules of thumb.
- Q: Would a maxtor 320GB external hard drive work without a power cable if I connect it to the USB port?
- you could make it work if you are planning to make a usb cable for power and another one for the receiving and sending of data. but if you are meaning to just plug in the usb cable from the hard drive to a port then no you can't a usb is ussually 5V and i don't think that's enough to power up a hard drive. just buy a power cable they aren't that expensive. if you have enough money to buy the external hard drive you wouldn't mind spending 5-10 dollars for a power connector.
- Q: I'm getting a new graphics card and my PC does not have the 6 pin power adapter already installed so i will have to buy the wire myself and connect it to the power supply.Only problem is i don't really have any clue on how to do so and can't find anything anywhere on how to do it.That's pretty much it and thanks in advance.
- But If I have only one moles connector from my PSU, Can I use an Molex splitter for get the 2 connectors that I need?
- Q: I have Windows Vista on my Asus W2P laptop and I have had this weird problem for a while - every time I plug the power cable in when the computer is actually on, Media Centre automatically starts. It's not really an issue, except that it's a bit annoying and weird!! Has anyone else had/heard of an issue lke this?
- If the cpu followers are spinning, that's that the video exhibit plug isn't precise related on your video card or your video card itself isn't precise inserted interior the board slot. try re-seating it.
- Q: I'm getting some upgrades for my pc and that includes a new power supply with the necessary amperage and 2 6-pin pci-e connectors to power my card. The card is already here but the psu probably won't get here until next week. I want to know if there is any way to run the card from the power coming from the pci-e slot. The card requires 2x 6-pin connectors, but i want to install it now to get that out of the way...
- You can but the system will be very unstable, that's even if it boots at all.
- Q: My ISP had installed an outdoor antenna from where a white RJ45 cable runs into a little white box (which is plugged into AC outlet) and from the same white box i do have another RJ45 jack plugged into my laptops NIC card. I came to know that the white ethernet cable is Power over Ethernet cable which carries the power as well as data. I just want to know if i can plug that ethernet directly into my laptops NIC card ? Can i do that will there be any harm to my laptop's NIC ??
- Hi lets clear up a few points the 56k modem port is dial up. its ideal if you have only a phone line to connect to the internet. its maximum down load data rate is 56k/bits a second, but is actually only capable of 7k bytes a second maximum or 7 kilo characters a second. RJ 11 is the connector a 4 element connection. RJ 45 is an ethernet cable with 8 elements when connected to a home hub or ADSL modem depending on the service supplied can be anything you pay for it can be as slow as the 56k and it can be 48g/bits/sec which would cost about 200 thousand dollars a year. Now a myth that needs to be explained wifi is going to be slower than the direct ethernet connection as it needs translation in to wireless from the ethernet connection. Most laptops of the type describe have an ethernet socket. the 56k dial up connection is still good should the ADSL connection fail provided you can still use the telephone to call someone. Be warned you only get what you pay for a cheap ADSL will only give a small down load data rate at the busiest time of day probably no faster than the dial up connection.
- Q: One day, all of a sudden my amp stopped working. I inspected the battery terminal and noticed their was corrosion on both terminals, cleaned it off, and I inspected the fuse in my positive wire for my amp and noticed the fuse was blown, replaced it and the amp would still not power on, I reinspected the fuse again and it had already blown, I replaced it once more and it did the same thing.
- some were in your system the power wire running the amp is hitting ,ground and blowing the fuse,or your amp is crapped out.are the fuses in the amplifier blowing too.i would hook up another power to to amplifier out in the open and see if your having the same problem.if you do its the amplifier if its all good re run another power wire.with a distribution block and go bigger with the wire size, and you can down size the wire from the distribution block to the amplifier.hope this helps.
- Q: I've looked on the internet, but it doesn't seem that the power cable for this printer is sold anywhere! Does anybody know if I'm able to buy it? And if so, where? I'm desperate. I don't want to buy a new printer. Even though this printer, actually, sucks. Let me know..........
- There's nothing special about the cable, it's a standard 3-wire cable. I imagine the power cable from your desktop computer fits (try it to be sure). It doesn't have to say HP on it. These are available everywhere -- Radioshack, OfficeMax, OfficeDepot, Staples, Target, Walmart, even your local hardware store.
