Q:What is chelated iron and how does it differ from the regular iron pills at the supermarket? Is it safe for anyone to take? I noticed the chelated iron is only sold at the health food store. Is chelated iron safe for someone with a very sensitive digestive system to take?
Chelated' just means that it was chemically bonded to a compound (generally an amino acid) to make the mineral more easily absorbed throughout the body.
Q:Could Iron be evaporated. If Iron cannot be evaporated(base on my belief, Iron cannot be evaporated because it is a heavy element), then why Radon, an obviously heavier element to iron, is a gas?
All cold air intakes operate on the principle of increasing the amount of oxygen available for combustion with fuel. Because cooler air has a higher density (greater mass per unit volume), cold air intakes generally work by introducing cooler air from outside the hot engine bay. However, the term cold air intake is often used to describe other methods of increasing oxygen to an engine, which may even increase the temperature of the air coming into an engine. Some strategies used in designing cold-air intakes are: increasing the diameter of the air intake, allowing increased airflow. smoothing the interior of the intake to reduce air resistance. providing a more direct route to the air intake. tuning the length of the intake to provide maximum airflow at certain engine speeds (RPM). using a more efficient, less restricting air filter. Yes, it is true that it can suck up water if too close to the ground. As for how often to clean; Clean it every time you do your oil changes. 10 points please! Plus bonus points for the sucking up water question. ;D
Q:hi everyone, i have just found out im pregnant, im taking pregnant care vitimins and minerals tablets, as ive heard people say how good they are,im just abit worried as a have a very well balanced diet, so have lots of veg, meat and cereal, which already has iron in it,and also one tablet a day which has 50% reccomended daily allowence of iron, is it dangerous to have this amount of iron in the diet when you are pregnant??
no very good actually, I am iron deficient fom birth, a metobolic anemia disorder, and i was always told that when you take a multivitamin you actually do not get such a wonderful benefit because their are othe rminerals that prevent the body from absorbing ALL or Majority of the iron in the suplement, I take an iron tablet with a folic acid tablet 3 times a day, and have to take cacium with a vit D tablet at alternating times to increase the absorbtion. it is hectic, but this amount of iron is fine, your baby wil be using your stores of iron while you not only replenish your stores but also your body uses iron from the food at the same time.
Q:my iron levels are at 12 in the chart but what could be the reason for my iron to be low? my doctor said it was because i donated to much blood but last time i donated blood was 6 months ago. i drink on weekends only i have a very healthy and balanced diet. i eat rice every day with usually some kind of proteins i love nuts and eggs eat them all the time. why could i have such low iron? my doctor is telling me to take iron supplements but is not doing any tests should i get a second opinion?i am a man 20 years old healthy weight and exercise regularly
Occasionally have food high in iron. Although not likely one of your favourites, people used to eat heart, liver, and kidneys for iron. Also, beef in general is much higher in iron than chicken, fish, or eggs. It is very difficult to be a complete vegetarian and get enough protein and iron. Beet tops (leaves) are supposed to be very high in iron for a vegetable, and are pretty good cooked. Sort of like spinach, only a tiny bit more bitter.
Q:Cos chiffon looks so fragile, and I‘m scared that if I iron it, it would . burn? Thank you
one 90 but you should go for the one 95
Q:i will not take a pill to suppliment ironi would like food suppliments to increase iron :)thanks
Pumpkin seeds have a good amount of iron in them. Also, Multi-Grain Cheerios, red meat, beans, dark veggies, tofu, and also.do this at your own risk, but liver has a lot of iron in it, as well. I'm not a fan of liverblech. Sardines, veal, and mackeral all have good iron, too. Take it easy when eating these, and start off small. Too much iron can cause constipation, but most of the iron rich foods can be consumed daily without fear of overdosing. Just start with a few helpings a day. So for lunch, you can do a spinach chicken salad with some beans and snack on some pumpkin seeds. Orange juice also helps absorb the iron into your system faster. Keep in mind that while it is of course recommended and healthier to get it from foods, iron is one of those that comes and goes quite quickly. You may not want to take an iron pill, but you may want to look into a multivitamin.
Q:I was told today that my daughter has low iron. That explains why she licks the walls and floors. Anyways we were told its normal for babies her age(she will be a year old this saturday) to have low iron because of changes in diet. Like switching to whole milk. Anyways we will be adding things to her diet to try and get her iron up to the normal level but would it be best to keep her on formula longer, like the Go and Grow formula, to help with the iron problems? I read that real milk can depleet the body further of iron if to much milk is consumed. Or should I try and control just by what she eats because she won‘t be able to drink formula forever. If diet can fix the problem thats the route I want to go. I don‘t want to give her drops and have her be constipated and have messed up teeth if I don‘t have to. Also do iron problems tend to go away?
The best way to increase iron in the baby is to give him/her meat. Meat is high in iron. Just use your own meat and cut it up or puree it in the blender. Beef is higher than either fish or poultry. You can increase this iron by cooking or heating baby foods in cast iron. Studies done in the past by the Dept. of Agriculture found that just giving parents a set of cast iron pans eliminated all but pernicious iron issues (caused by a medical problem) in all at-risk infants. They would still be doing that if Republicans hadn't cut out the program that funded it. ($30 for a set a pans vs. $1,100 to treat anemia). As your baby gets a little older, fish, chicken, beans all add good amounts of iron requiring no other supplementation. You are correct that milk can deplete the body of further iron, but formula does the same thing. The only difference is that they add iron drops to formula. You can do the same by buying vitamin drops for infants at your pharmacy. Same stuff. Get your kid off the sugar (which is what provides most of the calories in formula) and eliminate formula. Anemia does tend to go away as the child is able to consume more items with iron in them.
Q:I was just wondering if someone could give me the link to info on where the iron in poly iron forte comes from?! Thanx!
You can buy the stuffing material at a Fabric store. Just push the new stuffing into the hole where it leaked out before and sew up the hole using a thread color that matches the dogs color. If you want to steal an idea from Build-a-Bear Workshop, then go get a little red heart (or just cut out a heart shape from a piece of red felt) and have your cousin put it inside the dog before you sew it up.
