- Q: i have a ASUS M4A87TD-USB3 mobo and a Corsair 550 Watts Power Supply. Ive looked in the manual andit says you need to connect the one that ive connected and a 4 pin. It says that if you dont connect the 4 pin the computer wont boot! is there a way around this or it f**ked?

- Q: Hi. I was snaking 40 feet of underground burial power cable thru a PVC conduit. As I did not have any cable pulling lubricant, I used JOY dishwashing liquid detergent as a lube for pulling the cable with a snake. Will that damage or detiorate the outer jacket of the cable it is still in the conduit. The flexible conduit I used is water tight and I have plugged both openings with silicine caulk.

- Q: The hard drive is: Western Digital Caviar SE WD3200AAJS 320GB 7200 RPM, I'm getting from Newegg OEM. I know that OEM's don't come with a SATA cable which is fine but where can I find a compatible power cable? If it comes with one already please let me know. Thank you in advance.
- An internal drive would be powered by your power supply. If you don't have any additional SATA power cords in your PC, I believe you can by a 4 prong to SATA converter. Otherwise you may have to look at getting a new power supply for your PC that has more SATA power adapters

- Q: Hey y'all , so I got this LG X120 Netbook thing and although it works fine when power supply cable is connected, it won't play just by getting supply from its own battery..also i tried starting it up with the power cable on, and after a few moments I unplugged it, and the screen went black-I mean the netbook was turned off by itself..any help with that? thanks
- It sounds like the problem is one of three things. Either the power cable is the wrong voltage/amperage (these should be labeled on both the charger and the bottom of the laptop and/or battery) If the charger specs don't match the battery specs, it can cause this to happen. Maybe there was a mess-up that caused your to receive the wrong charger. The second possibility is that the battery is bad. A third possibility may be the connection from the battery to the laptop. It may not be making a good connection or could have some internal circuit problems. In any case, if the laptop is still under warranty... I would try returning it. Even if the problem can be fixed from the above suggestions, a problem like this early on tends to be bad news of what lies ahead.
- Q: How do I get it not to do that? Its really annoying. Whenever I remove the charger cable , the screen gets really dark. It seems like an actual function and not a defect, but is their a way to toggle it on and off?
- Thats how its made. Laptops dim screens to save battery power. To override the setting, look for a picture of the Sun on the middle-top of your keyboard. Sometimes its Blue. Once you find it, look at the bottom left of your keyboard for a FN (function) button. While holding the FN button, tap a few times at the sun button. Your screen should now be bright ;) Make sure you do this with the power unplugged, enjoy.

- I have never seen anything like it. Consider replacing the fitting with a more common three-prong unit.

- Probably, but most people just buy Molex to SATA power adapters. If you need more Molex 4 pin plugs, just buy some Y splitters. Any computer store worth a darn should have some of both in stock, even the chain ones.
- Q: I have a USB powered external hard drive. The cable that came with it has to plug-ins for the PC. I know the fat one provides power so I use that one. I would like to know what the other skinny one is for.I have seen other people plug both in when using it and it worked fine for them. I am using just the fat one and it works fine for me. I would just like to know the reason for having both on a cable.
- The Fat one is the Main one. If your computer is provide most power the HDD needed. That would be just fine. Just like on your case. The Skinny one is the Extended for getting extended power needed. Thus if some computer could not recognize your device, mostly caused by unable to get some power. You could plugged it both to get suitable power for your device.
