The same force you apply to the chair is applied to you, as you are more massive, you would move in one direction slowly and as the chair is less massive, it would move in the other direction more quickly. If you consider both you and the chair as one object, you just spread out, the center of mass of both you and the chair remains unchanged. If the chair is bolted down then you are pushing against the entire space ship which is much more massive than you so you would go off in one direction while the spaceship goes off very very slowly in the other direction. Again the center of mass for you and the spaceship are unchanged, stuff is just more spread out.

Q: I was thinking of how I might make affordable wedding chair covers for my wedding, but I have found that polyester is very expensive by the yard. I was thinking of making them with cotton and then making the same cover in tulle to fit over the cotton. That would make it to layers of material over the chair. Does that sound totally ridiculous?: That's quite the undertaking. Very ambitions. Especially since you are going to be making 2/chair for your plans. I would ask yourself some questions. What could you rent them for versus make them? I know here in the St. Louis area you can get them for $3-$4/chair. It may only cost you a dollar to make one, but your personal time may be more valuable, and your sanity. Also, note that when you rent chair covers generally the company comes and does a professional install and makes sure they are all pressed. You might be able to negotiate if you agree to pick them up and install yourself. Also, how many guests will you have? At my establishment we only order one extra cover. Will you need to make many more? What happens if you run short? If you rent and they short you they will have to get it to you. Q: In the process of sending question's in,..... the gas level's in my office chair have dropped over the last few week's or so, and as a result will neither lift or lower..... Does anyone know how to refill the gas.....Thank's.....( replying to question's on a low chair is somewhat uncomfortable.): :) You can go to an office supply shop and they'll sell chair gas cylinders. I've not had to ever do this but if you take them your chair and buy the gas from them they'll be able to refill it for you. They can also just give you the instructions on how to do it and you can give it a go if you don't feel like lugging your chair in there.

Q: I have a computer chair that has been re-covered with normal fabric similar to curtain fabric. Over time stains have appeared on the chair and they have got really dark now and wont come off, the material is a pale biscuit colour so the stains really stand out now. What is the quickest and easiest way of getting rid of them.Thanks to anyone who answers: Try Woolite upholstery cleaner, and a soft brush. It comes out of the can in a foam form. Work it in, then wipe several times with a damp cloth. Let dry.

Q: how do i hook up a game chair to my tv to play on my ps2 phat. it has 4 outputs on the side of the chair. a row of 2 yellow sockets and a row of 2 white sockets. so how do i do this. plz help: What does the manual for the chair say? It sounds as though the chair acts as a through-put, meaning you'd connect the PS2 to the chair, then connect the chair to your TV. Yellow is normally for composite video, whereas white is for audio. If it's the only audio port, then its mono-audio. If there's a red and a white port, then they're for stereo (the white port would be for the left speaker, red for the right speaker.) You only really need to connect an audio cable to the chair's input. I don't think you need to worry about the outputs at all (again, read the manual.) Go to Radio Shack and get a RCA Y-cable so you can take the PS2's white cable and split it so one end goes to your TV and the other goes to your chair. You may need to get an extension cable so it'll reach. Just get any RCA cable - it doesn't have to be white, that's just to help you match the connections between your devices.

Q: hello all. I need a creative way to make car tires into chairs... think its possible?: Maybe cut a quarter of them out, then find some way to secure actual seats and backs of chairs to them. Then add supportive legs. I wish I had a way to visually show you what I mean,but I hope you understand that. If not that way, then perhaps, depending on how big they are, you could eihter cut them in half or leave them whole and put two next to eachother forming a couch and use two more (or two halves) as the back. Either way be sure to secure some sort of padding onto it, because tires arent' the comfiest things to sit on. Good luck! Sounds like a creative plan. If neither way of mine works, try googling it.

Q: I read somewhere that chair dips are a great way to work out your triceps. I'm going to start doing chair dips everyday now, but in how fast will i see results (and are they any other ways to speed up the process)? Also do chair dips work out your biceps also? Any advice would be much appreciated.: Chair dips will work faster if you put enough weight on your lap so that you can only do about 8 repetitions for 3 sets. They do not work your biceps. If you can't press out the last one or two, bend your knees slightly. Also, be sure to flex your triceps completely at the top of each rep. It will make a big difference.
