You may have the auto dimming rear view mirror. Nissan calls it (automatic anti-glare) Owners Hand Book section 3 page 15 Green light on means that when head lights from cars behind hits the sensor photooptic cell that causes the liquid crystals inside the mirror glass to darken. Good Luck

You need to have the code read with a scan tool to find the exact problem your car is having, there are different sensors for the emissions system. You might just have a bad oxygen sensor.

Q:My check engine light was on, went to Autozone, they did the test, said it was my Cat converter and to change the spark plugs. I did that, unplugged my battery to reset my system, and check engine light came BACK on.My father and stepdad both think it‘s probably the o2 sensor.What is that, and is it expensive to have done?

If you have a code for the catalytic converter then that is what you are going to need. They led you very wrong with the spark plugs. Oxygen sensors can affect the performance of the converter but if that were the case then you would have codes for those too. You may still be under warranty on the converter - typically they have an 8 year / 80,000 mile warranty. Good luck.

Q:i have a viper alarm/auto start system in my 88 crx and it stoped working.i was pulling my insterment cluster out and thats were it was located and i unhooked everything so i could pull my cluster out.after i was done i put everything back the next morning i tryed my auto start and nothing my alarm is still working.its just my auto start i dont have the manual or anything beings that the arlarm came with my car when i bough it.any help would be great thank you.

Auto-start has lots of interlocks and any one of them will keep the starter from working. My daughter's has error codes that blink on the parking lights (hers is saying the disable toggle switch is off, but she can't find the switch). You will have to search for the user's manual for the model you have to decipher the code.

Q:I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand AM SE the car has 114,000 miles on it. I was recently driving home from work and my check engine light came on. After that the car started to idle real bad. I have to release my foot from the gas to shift gears and every time it shifts the RPM‘s go up real high and it‘s very hard to drive up hills the RPM‘s go real high. For the check engine light, go to a parts store and have them use their OBD scanner to diagnose why the light comes on. The coolant light means that the cooling system is low on fluid; might be a leak in the hoses, a bad thermostat, or other things. Have the auto parts person look at it or go to a mechanic. You need to get both fixed ASAP before more problems occur
