- The pitch of your roof has nothing to do with the kind of insulation you should use. I recommend a fiberglass insulation that is at least 6 inches thick, the more you put in the better.

- If you have vaulted ceilings you need to get the right insulation. Basically it wont be as thick and still leave some room between the insulation and the roof for it to breathe. You should be able to get it at any home improvement place.

- I don't think Great Stuff foam insulation is meant to be applied in the manner in which you need. It is used to fill gaps and cracks, not be sprayed out in thin coats. whenever I've used it in the past, I found out it did not like to be spread out, or "worked".

- Yes you can....you can use metal strapping to hold up 2" foam insualation to the underside of the metal roof that you can get at Home Depot, Lowes, or any hardware store good luck
- Q: What is the difference between roof and loft insulations?
- Potentially that the roof itself is insulated on the underside. A loft insulation could be that the base or floor of the loft/ attic is insulated. Otherwise, I'm not sure.
