Rock Wool Board For Thermal Insulation

1.Structure of Rock Wool Board For Thermal Insulation

Rock wool insulation refers to a type of insulation that is made from actual rocks and minerals. It also goes by the names of stone wool insulation, mineral wool insulation, or slag wool insulation. A wide range of products can be made from rock wool, due to its excellent ability to block sound and heat. This type of insulation is commonly used in building construction, industrial plants, and in automotive applications.

Different raw material: Our rock wool is mainly made by Basalt and other natural ores. The raw material for other so-called rock wool is mineral slag. Different raw material, different features.

Different corrosion resistance. Our rock wool have good corrosion resistance. non-corrosive for metal. But the mineral slag wool is different. In high humidity environment, CaS in mineral slag will have chemical reactions and produce corrosive when contact with metal.

Different working life. The working life for mineral slag is very short and Durability is very low because of higher CaO and MgO in slag. The efflorescence for mineral Slag is easy and also effect the working life. The

Different heat resisting. The heat resisting for rock wool(Basalt) is higher than mineral Slag wool. Our operating temperature can reach 800.But for Slag wool ,can not higher than 675.The features for our rock wool is totally superior to Slag wool.

Q:What thickness of rigid insulation is used on flat roofs?
Flat Roof Insulation Thickness
Q:mold in an attic,on roof decking,in insulation?
You still don't have enough attic ventilation. Definitely need more soffit vents. Roof mounted turbine vents that turn in the wind help suck more air through the attic. This coupled with at least one gable end vent should stop further mold. Removing old mold is a hassle, but can be done using diluted bleach in a lawn pump sprayer. A respirator will be needed to ensure you can breathe while applying the bleach solution.
Q:Can I add reflective attic insulation to the inside of my roof, between the rafters?
No dont add to the roof. The under side of the roof needs air flow and you will trap moisture, causing mold and rot. Make sure you have plenty of vents under your eaves and take your extra money and buy a solar powered attic fan (or 2 ) Mark
Q:If you are putting a new roof on, shouldn't you put new insulation in?
sound like the roofer wants to RIP you off, you Mop or spread a coating not put shingles on it,[A Trailer,] you don,t mess with the insulation, its under the roof. tell him to hit the road he is setting you up for a big mess,
Q:can you insulate ceiling if rubber roof installed?
Your other answerer is correct. The little plastic pieces that he speaks of are sometimes called baffles. They look like they are corregated or wavy like the inside of cardboard. These are essential to letting air flow in the attic space. Another item that you must have are vents on the soffits or overhangs on either side of the roof. Air has to get in there somehow. There are alot of homes that are not ventilated properly and the roof decking or plywood gets discolored and rots from the inside out. Sometimes this can happen in as little as 5 years, depending on your geographical location. Rubber roofing is usually put on a flat roof system. If you do not have access to inside the framing, you cannot insulate or it will be very difficult to get insulation in there properly. There are so many variables with different houses and locations. You may want to ask an insulation expert from the phone book or even a home inspector. Good luck.
Q:p/t deck on a commercial rubber roof do we need closed cell insulation under deck to protect rubber?
there is any kind of belongings you ought to use to guard your EPDM roof. From extreme density insulation boards to top adjustable helps all reckoning on your roof length, shape and water run off falls.in case you have an activity in looking out greater pop over to our on line shop.
Q:do i have to have insulation in my roof?
you should have insulation on the attic. ot should be right against the occupied ceilings. The attic cavity needs to be for the most part ventilated. That is a common building approach. Ive seen insulated sheets of plywood the roof shingles are nail to. You can call that roof insulator. You still better off with the common industry approach. Make sure you have an attic fan to level the attic temperature to the outside.
Q:My upstairs ceilings are not insulated and on the other side of the 2x6 rafters is the roof.?
Suggestion: install the insulation with the foam channels but leave the center section (roof ridge area) open from end to end. At each end you can install a static vent or an active one. Depending on the amount of space you have you may be able to install a power vent.If you can send me a diagram with measurements I can give you a more definitive answer.
Q:NH3 storage having insulation to wall (annual space ) but not on top roof (dome), pl tell me any tech.per.?
Insulation is less necessary on the roof. The ammonia is mostly a liquid, and a liquid would absorb heat rapidly from tank walls. Above the liquid is vapor, and vapor absorb heat much less rapidly than liquid does, so insulation is less important there.
Q:how does shredded newspaper insulation get in your roof?
go into your attic and pull the insulation out from around the vents that you have the problem with. Then take some standard insulation and fill in around the vents.
