Q:What is the tallest aluminum skysraper?
I don't know that I've ever heard of a skyscraper made of aluminum. Although aluminum is almost as strong as steel (tensile strength), it's modulus of elasticity is about 1/3 that of steel, so it would tend to sway in the breeze about 3 times as much as a steel structure. And vibrations from earthquakes would be a real problem (more of a problem than it already is for steel).
Q:Car sunshade and black aluminum foil which is good, and the aluminum foil is white or cartoon, mainly considering the shading effect
The foil is good enough to reflect most of the photosynthetic heatAskIs that cartoon good or ordinary?Chasing the answerCartoons do not matter, as long as the reflection of the sun
Q:How many applications does aluminum foil have?
Q:Is it really unhealthy to use aluminum cookware? What should you use instead - cast iron?
Aluminum exposures from cookware, of which more than half is made of aluminum, is not well studied, but is thought to be a relatively minor source of aluminum exposures. Exposures to aluminum through food can occur when aluminum leaches or otherwise dissolves from the cookware into the food. Leaching is most likely when the foods being cooked or stored are highly basic (like baking soda) or highly acidic (like tomato sauce, lemon juice, oranges, or vinegar). For example, tomato sauce has been shown to contain 3-6 mg aluminum (per 100 g serving) after cooking in aluminum pans, which translates into about one-tenth of the typical daily intake. This leaching of aluminum with acidic foods does not happen with aluminum cookware that is anodized, or electro-chemically processed to seal the aluminum in the cookware. Clemson University Extension’s Home and Garden Information Center tested different cookware types, and found anodized aluminum cookware to be safe. Regardless, it would probably be wise to store tomato sauce and other acidic foods in something other than an aluminum pot.
Q:Does Aluminum Chloride cause cancer and Alzheimer's disease?
Many years ago they didn't know much about the brain - and they were starting to do some studies that were the first of their kind, and lo and behold, they found aluminum in the brains of people with Alzheimer's. So people automatically assumed that it was because the aluminum came from the outside of the body, and it must have gotten inside *some how* Turns out those assumptions were wrong - and now know that people who have Alzheimer's have different metabolisms than people who do not. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12969... Now, if you want to avoid aluminum cookware because you don't know if you might be one of those people, then by all means, avoid it to be on the safe side but don't believe that Alzheimer's is caused by aluminium cookware (or tin foil, etc) alone - and also know that you'll never really know if those measures actually prevented the disease if you didn't get it. I don't know of any association in terms of cancer and those chemicals, and they have been studied extensively - and the aluminum in body care products cannot be absorbed through the skin. Go ahead and use that product.
Q:Aluminum foil wrapped chicken wings, microwave oven, you want to poke holes?
No, just a few knives on the chicken wing, because it's so easy to cook
Q:What is the lightest aluminum wheel set?
I don't know for sure, but Cane Creek and Rolf had some really light ones. Within a few ounces I don't think it even makes that much of a difference....a half a pound is another story. All manufacturers of high-end wheels have the same knowledge and capabilities of making the lightest technology available....they may choose to sacrifice lightest weight for some other design characteristic, however, such as aerodynamics or durability. The bottom line is that Im not really answering your question with any definite numbers, but I'm saying that lightest may not mean a hill of beans when you compare 8 different wheelsets that are all within 100 grams of each other. Sorry. :o)
Q:aluminum in fish tank to hold my plants?
As long as that aluminum wasn't exposed to any toxins (pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, etc.), it should be fine. The aluminum itself certainly won't harm the fish, just beware of residue that may be on it. EDIT: Really? Aluminum doesn't rust! Iron rusts! *sigh* Rust is iron oxide. While aluminum will corrode, producing aluminum oxide, it is also nontoxic. Metals do NOT affect water chemistry in any real way-- pure metals are entirely insoluble!!! If you were using metal salts other than aluminum oxide (you aren't) like aluminum nitrate, or copper chloride, there would be real reason for concern, but the rate at which aluminum oxide dissolves into the water is so negligible that there will be ZERO affect!
Q:Where would aluminum most easily be obtained from in terms of amount of energy required?
Scrap aluminum by far. To get aluminum from an ore, it must be mixed with other salts and melted and a huge amount of electricity passed through the molten mixture to reduce the aluminum to the metallic state. A lot of energy needed, To melt scrap is somewhere around 5-10 % of the energy to make new from ore. Aluminum cannot be reduced by heating an ore with carbon like iron and many other metals.
Q:what are the uses for the isotope aluminum-27?
You'll need to learn about the element Aluminum first and then work your way to the Isotope thing.
