Q: I bought an old frame from craigslist. I assumed that it was Italian from the info he gave me, the fact it is incredibly lightweight and the really fancy lugs. It was sandblasted and all of the decals and badges were removed. The only identifying marks on the frame were the serial number on the bottom bracket: x33478, and the on remaining bottom bracket cup which had, T.D.C. Made in England, stamped to the side of it.Jumping ahead of schedule, I ordered an Italian bottom bracket (the previous owner measured the BB to 70 mm). When it got here I tried to put it in. Evidently it is not 70 mm (bummer). So I was playing around with it and found out that both bottom bracket cups are left hand thread. I repeat, BOTH BOTTOM BRACKET CUPS ARE LEFT HAND THREAD (not the BB I bought, but the threading on the frame).Sheldon Brown has offered no help on the subject, neither has bike forums, so I am turning to you, Yahoo Answers. Q: I got my braces today, and one of my brackets got loose! I'll drop by my dentist's clinic this afternoon to have it glued back on. I'm worried though cause this week is Holy Week, and pretty much my dentists wouldn't be around. What if my brackets come off again? What do I do then?Thanks!: Get to him and ask him why the bracket got loose and ask him what you should do if they got loose again. im sure he didnt put much glue on it or maybe you bite into something hard? I have a european bottom bracket size on my road bike but it has a threaded end (old style) I'm upgrading cranks but the cranks I have have an external bottom bracket (mega exo with the fsa Gossamer crankset). Also, is english bottom bracket the same as euro bottom bracket? I know it's quite a few questions but any help is greatly appreciated!: There are 2 important things about fit which is important to know about the old style bottom brackets. 1 Thread type. There are 2, English and Italian/European. They are different and not compatible. 2 The axle length. Each chainset will have a recommended axle length. The length will ensure that the inner ring runs close to chainstay, but not close enough to rub, thus keeping the chain angle to the cogs optimum. Getting the right length is very important. Each manufacturers bottom bracket cups will have different means of removal and even the same manufacturer will have different kinds of removal methods for different models of bottom bracket. Q: I have a '90 Camaro RS. There is a bracket that attaches to torque arm at transmission. The rubber for bracket is gone. Car has serious vibration, and I am wondering if this bracket needs to be replaced. My uneducated guess is that it is there to give support to torque arm. I have asked at several auto parts stores, and even a chevy dealership. Not only have I asked, but I have even showed them the part that I removed from camaro. Can anyone tell me what this part is called, what it is for, if the rubber being gone would cause this vibration, and where I can get a replacement? Q: I already had one replaced a few weeks ago. Now the bottom two front teeth bracketts are basically off.
