Q:i need someone to advice me which solar panels to buy.i have looked into few companies and i need some more info before decidingthe companies i checked were Sun tech trina solar Canadian solar and LDK solar.whice company should i pick?? please help.
If all things are equal buy local. If you are building for a LEED project then choose a manufacture within 500 miles. Another reason to choose a local panel is that if things go wrong there is a better chance of a satisfactory resolution. A no name knockoff from overseas might prove to be difficult to find a few years down the road. One good place to check is the Go Solar California website. They have proof of performance testing on hundreds of panels.
Q:How can I calculate the amount of watts needed for a solar panel to power a water and air pump in gal/hr and a 600 watt LED light?
With you up to solar panel, then things go downhill. Your Water pump will be rated at gal/hr but how about the air pump? 600watt LED? What you need to know in order to select your solar panel is how much current you will be draining. You can work this out if you know how much power and how long they need to run. Please, a bit more information (that is relevant!).
Q:i am working on a project which requires small solar panels. i am looking for ones about 3X4. is there any way i could get these? and where?

Q:Due to erratic power cuts in my area I want to make up by using a 30watt solar panel. My decoder is 30watt but my TV is 70W. I need something small. I don't have problem with sound. Just picture.
Do what we do when power is cut (although we have very reliable power - we loose as much as 2 hours a year), is go Amish. That is go without powered technology. Now, for you, you need more than a solar panel (and likely more than 30W, but that is a start) - you need a battery or set of batteries to store the collected power. 20Ah might do. You need an inverter to power things. For that, likely a 300W will do. For a TV, go shopping, and look at the labels on the back of the TVs. I just bought a 24 TV rated at 40W. If you get a 9 LED TV, it may be likely you can run that directly from battery, for many have separate DC brick supplies. With those, you can make a cable to power it directly from a 2V or so battery, if the supply can make 2 to 5V. Depending on your provider, you may be able to get a mini-decoder which uses a separate brick or wall supply, which means the decoder likely can be directly battery powered. Such a decoder may draw less than 20W.
Q:how to make electricty using solar panels or wind generator
Homemade okorder
Q:I live in Los Angeles area, I see the ads that, they will install solar panel for $0. I would like to know what is the catch ?Thanks You.
Read the terms and conditions! They will own the panel and receive payment for any power generated from it, as one example.
Q:Can someone explain to me how solar panels can be used as modern architectural attributes? please help
You could check out building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). BIPV includes things like solar roof tiles and smart energy glass that acts as a window and also creates electricity. BIPV is a great way for people to go solar without disrupting the modern architectural attributes of an existing structure.
Q:So, I've seen cheap solar panel kits for sale from Harbor Freight, and regardless of whether or not I were to buy a set from them or someone else, I was wondering what the process of implementing a small-scale solar system into your household electrical system would be.I've read articles that started out too in-depth or were speaking of systems on a much larger scale. Can it be as easy as buying the panels and inverter, and plugging it into a socket, or is there more to it?Some of the articles I was reading had mentioned having to contract with your electrical supplier, having to have an electrician tie it all in in some special/ necessary way, using a battery pack (would this be necessary for a tied-in system?), or using the system to only power single items, like a water heater, or plugging items into a connected battery-pack, all of which I'm not sure is necessary or needed for what my goals/ means are/ would be.
Take okorder /... This unit produces 45W for $90. Inverter is extra. Let's say this unit produces that amount of power for a full 2 hours a day, that's 45W * 2h = 540 Wh or 0.54kWh. If I save that from my electrical company, I would pay about 5 cents. $90 then takes 3800 days or 0 years. At that point, you haven't actually made any money, you've simply recovered what you paid out to buy the unit 0 years ago. Yes, electrical power prices will be going up over the long term but the output of this unit is also not going to be 45W over its lifetime (if it even lasts 0 years) so I really question the economics.
Q:So I'm trying to figure out what to ask for my birthday because its one of the few times I can get stuff for no reason, like stuff I don't normally go to the store to buy. (i dont go to the store to get much at all anyway).Anyway, I'm interested in solar panels and led and electronics and i was wondering if there is anything not over expensive that would be cool. Some things I'm interested in:solar, wind, water energyGadgets (multitools, swiss army knives)Vibram fivefingersdrawingmaking stuff (duct tape wallets, stuff out of altoids containers)basically technology and outdoors-gear stuffoh and im 6 turnin 7 male.
solar panel is expensive, but small solar panel is not expensive, for example, 5w solar panel, solar light also not expensive led light also not expensive. i am not sure about other stuff that you said
Q:I live in Hawaii and having a solar panel is not a bad idea since we have plenty of sun the only problem is that it cost a lot of money and takes many years before you get your money back. There are kits available where you can make and install your own solar panel and wind turbine but is it bull **** or is it a good deal?
go with wind power
