Q: I'm conducting a research project and I need a long plastic tube about 20 to 30 feet long with a diameter of 10 or more inches. Approximately how much will I have to pay?
They sell tubing at DIY, Home Depot, and Lowes stores by the foot. I don't know how much it costs, but it would probably depend on the diameter, too. I dunno, maybe 99 cents a foot? Probably less.
Q: Sometimes included in happy meals and the like. Had some sort of device that would slide back and forth inside it making the sound. Sounded like: oooooooaaaaaaaahhh lt;turn overgt; aaaaaooooohhhhh*Note* I need the name!lol.
They are called groan tubes.
Q: I've usually see em in the movies and stuff like that. Little long tubes like hand held flares which upon breaking or twisting emits faint green light sort of like the radium stickers and stuff like that and are these available in military surplus stores?
Ahh yes the chem-light. If you wanna have some fun with some new private send him up to the platoon sgt and have the pvt ask for batteries for one, then have him ask for a PRC(called prick in army terms)E7.
Q: I remember 35 years ago, when all the uproar was made about aluminum or metal filings were found inside toothpaste tubes. %Health issues were raised about the residual filings in the base of toothpaste tubes for people who press the last nth of toothpaste from the tube.I'm researching about this concern in the plastic and other material-type tubes used nowadays. How SAFE / secure can we be (is there a watchdog org?) to Q.C. this safety-issue in the commercial brands of toothpaste nowadays?I use a tube-wringer on my toothpaste tubes so I get the last nth of toothpaste from each tube and I am curious how SAFE a practice this is.
There's no way to remove all toxins from anything manufactured. If however, you are simply brushing your teeth with the toothpaste and not actually consuming it, I think you'll be ok. Afterall, the metal, aluminum or plastic filings (if swallowed) would only pass through your digestive course. Should harm occur it would likely be in a circumstance where there was already an issue, i.e. ulcers, diverticuli, etc. On the other hand, if you WERE to ingest fluoridated toothpaste you could become gravely ill on consumption of fluoride alone. Long story short: I think you'll be ok.
Q: where can i get a print out of all the clored tubes and what test is used for each tube for a phlebotomists ?
Blood collection tubes must be drawn in a specific order to avoid cross-contamination of additives between tubes. The recommended order of draw for plastic vacutainer tubes is: First - blood culture bottle or tube (yellow or yellow-black top) Second - coagulation tube (light blue top). If just a routine coagulation assay is the only test ordered, then a single light blue top tube may be drawn. If there is a concern regarding contamination by tissue fluids or thromboplastins, then one may draw a non-additive tube first, and then the light blue top tube. Third - non-additive tube (red top) Last draw - additive tubes in this order: SST (red-gray or gold top). Contains a gel separator and clot activator. Sodium heparin (dark green top) PST (light green top). Contains lithium heparin anticoagulant and a gel separator. EDTA (lavender top) ACDA or ACDB (pale yellow top). Contains acid citrate dextrose. Oxalate/fluoride (light gray top)
Q: What are the requirements for the installation of expansion joints for drainage plastic pipes?
The expansion joint shall be installed near the water junction pipe, such as the drain pipe under the floor. The expansion joint shall be attached below the branch pipe fitting.
Q: What is the minimum length of plastic tubes?
The minimum length of plastic tubes can vary depending on the specific application and requirements. It can range from a few centimeters to several meters or more, depending on the intended use and manufacturing capabilities.
Q: Have you ever noticed it becomed increasingly difficult to stop unwanted back flow of paste towards the sealed end of the plastic tube. Unlike the earlier metallic tubes which could be rolled up from the bottom and be self retaining, the plastic tubes cannot be wound up into a permanent situation but always unroll to a flat state. I have ideas for a simple solution involving no external gadgetry to fiddle around with, maybe you have ideas too?? Keep it simple. Thanks
use a rolling pin to squeez the stuff out...and there is a gadget on the market that looks like 2 fingers, you slip the bottom of the tube between the 2 fingers and just turn up so that the tube rolls around and over the fingers and the paste doesn't backflow..got he idea?..but you can always by toothpast in a pump
Q: What are the advantages of using plastic tubes in the cosmetics industry?
There are several advantages of using plastic tubes in the cosmetics industry. Firstly, plastic tubes are lightweight and portable, making them convenient for travel or on-the-go use. Secondly, plastic tubes are cost-effective compared to other packaging materials, allowing for more affordable pricing of cosmetic products. Additionally, plastic tubes are flexible and can be easily squeezed, enabling precise and controlled dispensing of the product. Moreover, plastic tubes provide excellent barrier properties, protecting the product from air, moisture, and contamination, which helps to extend the shelf life of cosmetics. Lastly, plastic tubes can be easily customized with different shapes, sizes, and printing options, allowing for branding and marketing opportunities for cosmetic companies.
Q: I used a tube to transport diesel to another container and I was wondering if it's possible to clean the tube at all.
