If a landlord is renting out an old home and the tenant suffers regular damage to his or her electrical equipment, would the landlord be responsible for having the building wiring updated so that such damage does not continue to occur on a regular basis? What if the cost of such repairs far exceeds the rent that the tenant would be paying? Would the tenant be legally able to break a lease without paying fines in this type of situation?
As long as the wiring was at code when the house was built he does not have to change it. BTW, it would cost about a years rent, you are talking about a major renovation. It is normally only done during other major renovations, not by itself. This does not break your lease. Haven't you ever heard of surge suppressors? Buy yourself some.
I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS that is stock, as in no aftermarket radio/electrical equipment and the fuse for the a/c and cruise. I noticed it popped when I bought the car and each time i put the same size fuse in or a bigger one, it automatically pops. I pulled the dash apart and all of the connections are good so I'm not sure of where to go.
The fuse is a safety mechanism it will burn or pop as you say before damage can occur to the electronic component if it continually pops/ burns out that usually means there is a short in the wiring or on the part itself. Electrical problems can be a real pain in the a$$, even if you are experienced. So if you are not mechanically inclined I suggest not to try to track this problem down by yourself.
I need to make some electrical schematics up for some older equipment. What programs are available other than AutoCAD? Not wanting to spend the $$$ for AutoCAD at this time and I'd prefer not to use paper and pencil.Thanks.
I use Autocad because it's all I have (licenced). It really sux at creating electrical schematics. Better is Orcad. Also, check out Electronics Work Bench they have a great Schematics Capture program. Yes, look for schematic capture programs I don't know why they call them capture programs. Visio has some cool libraries! As someone mentioned, Spice! Next question, where are you going to show or use these schematics? Are you going to send them to anyone? if so, you might want to go for a common drawing program. GL.
I am wondering what happens when you have accidentally connected the negative cables to positive and the positive cables to negative. I have boat that has to two marine batteries and i am wondering if you were to do this will it screw things up and break things?
Hmmmm The only approach to comprehend for sure if that fried the the circuits could be to check out it out with the proper adapter. I would now not use the adapter with the overrated voltage, why danger it extra? Just take the one you firstly used, reduce the output cable and splice the wires collectively the opposite method to reverse the polarity of the plug. That would clear up your main issue.
I know that I need to get an oscilloscope and a power supply but is there something else that I should plan on getting?
Probably the best tools are a good quality digital multi meter, high voltage Pliers . oscilloscope is pretty expensive and is mostly usefull for Electronics not Electrical. Electronic is the voltages between 0-90 V and everything that you work more than 90V is Electrical and in that rate you must use saftey tools, which have been made for this purpose. If you are an electronics engineer who want to desige and make PCBs you need some softwares like Protel on your PC. if you like to work with Microcontrollers, you need some compiler and programmer specially made to program your microprocessors. A good clean workbench will help you to work properly, so it is better to buy some plastic shelves to put your components in . Don't forget to buy at least two breadboard, they will help you to test your projects before making PCBs, but be aware that Breadboard is not a good thing for high frequency projects. have a good one
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any information on this car (specifically around a 2003 model) because I was planning to purchase one. From searching on google all I could manage to find was that they were sturdy, safe cars that cost a lot to repair, which I figured since it's a mercedes. Thanks!
its pretty cute, almost got one but I really love having 4 door. The back seats aren't as comfy (kinda a given for a coupe) but it looks hot, esp with the panorama roof and will probably be collectable as it was discountinued. as now will be the clk. watch out, a lot of them have cloth interior. If you're gonna drive a benz you better have leather!
Can someone go into detail on this air force job? Don't just give me a website, I'm looking for actual experience or reasonable knowledge of this field. Would a civilian career be any good with this field? Please let me know! :)
Aiurcraft have electrical genarators on them, powered by the engines, those generators, provide power to aircraft electrical systems. You would be working on those electrical syatems, IE: the generators, the power transformers and wiring that provide electrical power to the aircraft. Aircraft also have heating and cooling systems that provide warm air and cold air to different parts of the aircraft. You would be working on those systems. Basicly you job is to do scheduled functional checks of the systems, to make sure they work, to repair any problems found found, replace faulty equipment in the aircraft.
for an electrical class.
