Tower Crane TC5610 FAQ:

1.What is tower crane?

Tower crane is a modern form of balance crane that consist of the same basic parts. Fixed to the ground on a concrete foundation (and sometimes attached to the sides of structures as well), tower cranes often give the best combination of height and lifting capacity and are used in the construction site.

2. What is the meaning of the tower crane’s code?

Take Tower Crane TC5610 for example, the first two letters “TC” means Tower Crane, “56”means jib length is 56 meter, and the last two letter “10” means the tip load is :1 ton.

3. What is the principal to quote the right tower crane to the client?

First, we need to know clients’ requirements, for example, max lifting capacity, height, tip load and jib length.. Second, we need to know what the foundation requirement from the client is and Third if there are special needs. CNBM could suggest proposal according to clear data provided by the clients.

Q:Did anyone else get really excited when they showed the judge was Dr. Crane/Scarecrow in TDKR?
Yes, that was such a nice surprise. He was a great villain in Batman Begins. For a split second, I was like Wait a minute - the last time I saw Dr. Crane, he was freaking out on that Toxin they released into The Narrows. . ., but then, I remembered - he and everyone else affected by that poison were given the antidote after it was produced by Wayne Enterprises. His role as the judge at the sort of Reign Of Terror style court system is perfect - Crane clearly enjoyed watching people suffer mentally, liked seeing them terrified. Sadistic little twerp. Tough call on favorite.. . while I think the first two thirds of The Dark Knight are probably the very best of the series. . . my personal fave is Batman Begins, too. I can remember the first time I saw it, and as they're showing the establishment shot of those mountains in Asia, Raz Al-Ghul's lair. . . I kept thinking, this is different than any other Batman stuff I've seen - this is cool! Kinda sad it's over! :( Edit - And I just wanted to add - I've used that line Bruce's dad says with my own little son: Why do we fall? :)
Q:What qualifications do you need to be a Crane Operator in QLD, Australia?
You need to do a specific amount of hours in training to be a crane operator in Australia, I know that in Sydney, you are certified by the WorkCover Authority, or that's how it was many yeas back. Special emphasis is on loads, and point of load. We do not need a mobile crane tipping over do we. Safety, working near electrical, and on soft ground. Weight you can extend to on a jib. etc.
Q:Are the creators of the Karate Kid movies apologetic about the white crane defensive stance?
The movie was not a documentary, nor was it a how-to. As a result, the writers are given what's called poetic license to portray movements in any manner they wish, whether or not the techniques, philosophy, or theories behind them are accurate. I have never heard of anyone being apologetic about the movies or any of the techniques therein. But, I don't think they ought to be. The movies on both sides of the generation gap that separates them are equally entertaining.
Q:What are the working mechanisms and safety devices of tower cranes?
A safety device: four limit: height limit, amplitude limit, slewing limit, travel limit; three insurance: luffing rope insurance, car insurance broken shaft, the hook to prevent falling insurance; two limit: torque limiter, weight limiter on these roughly.
Q:A crane lifts a 2355 N bucket containing 1.81 m3 of soil (density=2084 kg/m3) to a height of 7.56 m.?
W=Fdcos(angle) W=mgh=2355(7.56)=17803.8 J
Q:Where can i buy a claw/crane machine that you see in pizza parlors and arcades?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Where can i buy a claw/crane machine that you see in pizza parlors and arcades? some people call it a crane, others say claw but the point is...where can i get one? i dont want a huge one, and i dont want a small one. A medium size one. the shops have to get them from somewhere right? oh, and i'd rather not get one from Ebay. is there a business or something? thank you!
Q:Do cranes, the bird, have any significance in Egyptian or Chinese mythology?
A crane is considered auspicious in China, Japan and Vietnam. It is one of the symbols of longevity and is often represented with other symbols of long life, such as pine, bamboo, and the tortoise. Vietnamese people consider crane and dragon to be symbols of their culture. In feudal Japan the crane was protected by the ruling classes and fed by the peasants. When the feudal system was abolished in the Meiji era of the 19th century, the protection of cranes was lost. With effort they have been brought back from the brink of extinction. Japan has named one of their satellites tsuru (crane, the bird). According to tradition, if one folds 1000 origami cranes one's wish for health will be granted. Since the death of Sadako Sasaki this applies to a wish for peace as well. Also, traditional Chinese 'heavenly cranes' (tian-he) or 'blessed cranes' (xian-he) were messengers of wisdom. Legendary Taoist sages were transported between heavenly worlds on the backs of cranes.
Q:Stephen Crane and Willa Cather (talk about your odd couples) met briefly. He died shortly after at 29, I think
Definitely....... I guess since my mother died at an early age, I keep expecting it will happen to me as well. I don't think I react like Stephen Crane though..... I think instead of writing it all down quickly for people to read, i tell people everything and I fear in that way, whatever legacy I have to pass on will never be remembered. Time passes so quickly. I can't believe my daughter will be going to high school when I just remember walking her into kindergarten the other day. Is time my enemy? Not so much my enemy...... but a reminder of sooooooo much I need to do and want to do. A signal. At least I made it longer than 29. Let's hope I have a whole lot longer...... but seriously...... someone has GOT to make me write it all down!!!
Q:how does the power electronic drives employed in cranes?
The primary function of an electronic drive is to provide for operation at various speeds. Slow speed operation is used when moving a load into position. Faster speeds are used for moving loads over longer distances. When the operating speed is steplessly adjustable, ramped acceleration and deceleration control is easily provided as well. Controlled acceleration provides smoother operation because acceleration at a constant rate means accelerating with a constant force or torque. Electronic drives control torque and current during starting. They perform a function similar to a reduced voltage motor starter, but they do it steplessly, more efficiently, with more complete control of applied torque. They provide more torque per ampere of current than any other starting method. This is very beneficial for the frequent starting and stopping often required for cranes. Electromechanical motor controls for cranes require additional contactors, relays and other components to perform functions such as reversing, motor overload protection and braking. These functions are incorporated into the electronic controls with electronic drives. Electronic braking can return energy to the power supply and bring the load to nearly a complete stop before a friction brake is applied. For holding the load in position, an electromechanical brake is still required. Electronic drives can be used on bridge, trolley and hoist applications.
Q:Why are electromagnets on junkyard cranes generally circular in shape?
Blow a bubble with gum and you will realize the most efficient shape in nature. Sphere or circle. Whether it is a crane or the wheel, a helpful shape to be sure. The engineer to be has it right.
