Q:How to weave beautiful handmade carpet with a small cloth
In addition to it, the old cover side of quilt, old pants can be weaved, these are very useful ah, if there are old clothes at your home, please begin! there are too much old wool, just want to know what method can be used to take advantage of these? Through a lot of people's experience and continuous efforts, finally come up with a very simple method that use old wool series mats to make beautiful cushion. It is a good use of waste, whether are there any old sweaters at your home? If so, you can also use this method to make good use of them. Before teaching how to weave mat using old knitting wool, please pay attention to: When weaving ponytail, it had better not be too tight, otherwise it will be like a bamboo hat when sewn up. First step: First use four pieces of wood to make a weave frame, drive twenty-two nails on each of them, you can make the size according to their own requirements the second step: The first line, guying uses you loved wool repeatedly, make the number of strands according to the thickness of the wool, usually with fourteen strands. Third steps: The color of the second layer is the same with the first one the fourth step: The practice of the third layer is the same with the first layer one, you can use other lines, because this layer line is in the downmost, it can not be seen, color doesn't matter the fifth steps: The fourth layer is the same with the third one the sixth steps: Twining it on a sweater needle or other wire or stick the seventh step: Binding lines from the diagonal line the eighth steps: The stitch of the line enters from the former hole, and then comes out from the latter hole to tie it, the other is the same the ninth step: Binding for the first time the tenth step fix line denounced anti ship money to raise irrigation Li shi: The second times starts the Eleventh step: Tied up and then cut off the edges, then it is completed
Q:can I wash laura Ashley rug in machine?
Laura Ashley Rug
Q:Help! Paint spilled on my carpet!!?
Paint thinner and a carpet cleaner! Be patient. I spilled black stain on a tan carpet once and i kept pouring paint thinner on it then soak it up. DONT SMEAR IT BLOT IT! Then when its about all gone mix the paint thinner in the carpet cleaner and suck it out. If you dont have a carpet cleaner go find a shop vac and put the thinner on and suck it up keep doing it till its gone! Or you can let it dry all the way IF ITS JUST ON TOP then kinda shave it off with scissors its not gonna look new but better than it did or another good way but a dresser or something over it LOL it'll save you till you move out
Q:How much would carpeting cost?
860 square feet is 95.5 yards. The style of carpet you want is a sculptured plush, which can retail anywhere from 17.99 a yard upwards to 35.00 a yard. If you were to figure 19.99 a yard, for instance times 95 yards you would have around 1910.00 for only the carpet! You must also take into consideration the following costs: Removal of old carpet and pad- both the labor and the hauling away. New pad. Installation labor costs. Any cost for furniture or appliance moving or disconnecting. Moldings or cove base or quarter round. If your landlord was looking at commercial carpet it is due to the fact that it will stand up to the normal abuse most tennants subject flooring to. I work in a flooring store and I also own a rental. I know the usual life of carpet in a rental and the cost of the materials and labor for my area. In your area, it is likely that your costs would be much higher than here, since I live in a small town. Hope that helps! p.s. without actually looking at the installation area in person, to quote you a realistic price would be impossible!
Q:burnt carpet?
I hope no one was hurt by the hot iron. As others have mentioned, your options are somewhat limited, with regards to a burn. Synthetic carpets tend to not only 'burn' but also melt... so its not likely that it can be shaved off...the damage will be too deep. If you have a section of this carpet in a closet, then your best approach is to have someone use that piece to 'patch' the burnt portion. The process isnt terribly difficult, but it does take some skill, and a seaming iron. Any carpet fitter that has done seams, or patterns, could do this for you. Basically, a piece (larger than the burn) will be cut out of the closet portion, then lay it over the burn (being careful to line up the fiber/weave direction), cut through both pieces of carpet with a straight edge, and very sharp knife, apply hot melt carpet tape to the edges of the hole (to the underside of the carpet, hehe), and finally, insert the patch, and heat the seams with the iron. Someone who has had practice at this can make an almost invisible patch. Another idea might be to simply toss a decorative throw rug over the burn for the time being, or rearrange the furniture, hehehe. About the only other thing to be done would be to replace the entire carpet in the room, and if the carpet is very old or worn, then that might be a good idea anyway.... it is difficult to get a good patch on worn carpet. Good Luck
Q:Rugs Riddance?
It would be awful to discard all those beautiful rugs.... they will be adding a touch of colour and contrast to your home. Have you considered having the rooms one colour and keeping the rugs as contrast? If you really must get rid of them maybe you could donate them to a charity and know that someone will make good use of them? Or sell them and use the money to buy your new matching rugs.
Q:possible hard floor over carpet?
Easy, simply build a new floor on top of the carpet but which does not apply pressure on the carpet. Imagine a thin sheet of plywood. Now, what you do is drive a bunch of nails through so they stick out about 1 on the other side. Space the nails an inch apart so the entire sheet of plywood will sit in top of the nails all of which are no further than an inch from an adjacent neighboring nail, as they go through the carpet to the hard subfloor. All you do is poke small holes in the carpet and padding. The same thing happens when a person lies on a bed of nails. The closely spaced, many nails spread the weight over a much larger area transferring the weight through the carpet rather than ON the carpet to the solid wood subfloor. Now, the problem is, how do you keep your weight from simply pushing the plywood down around the nails? Easy again, lay on another sheet of plywood and glue it together. The top sheet (with your hardwood veneer) will sit on top of the nail heads. Use wood screws to clamp the sheets together and you have a durable top floor surface which will sit on pinpoints that go through the carpet harmlessly. Build enough to cover the carpet. You will add 2 or so the the height of the flooring. You will STILL have a problem, avoiding damage to the carpet by water or anything else spilled which will work through the cracks between sheets and end up in the rug and pad. Somehow, you will have to seal the top sheets to each other and to the walls to keep anything and everything from getting to the carpet. And then, you would have to work around the edge where the 2 lip would be at the carpet edge. A lot of factories do this same kind of elevated flooring to hide electrical cables and piping in places like rooms of electronics. The difference is they simply build channels for things since they have no carpet to protect, and they do not care if dirt gets into the channels where the wires and pipes are located. It is going to be VERY expensive!
Q:What color of the carpet looks good to match with white tiles?
Which is white grey, with a small amount of impurity spots, or black and white color
Q:A large area of office carpet was blisters, what good method can quickly dry and mildew?
The carpet will be opened, with a blower to dry.
Q:Removing a carpet?? Help..?
There may be a reason for the carpet in the first place...Try pulling up a corner and then pulling back to check the floor surface The surface may not be pretty to look at ..Are you considering redoing the floor surface...What ever you decide, if you pull the carpet you'll have to pull the tack strips. Again when pulling the carpet use a carpet or utility knive and cut it up in handlable segments. Good Luck
