Q:I was curious, my dad told me that back in the day firefighters used to go around and paint all the fire hydrants (recently I watched a work crew do the one on our street) I'm trying to make a comparison of payment and tasks, for the argument that public servants are overpaid and not given the responsibility that was once prevalent.

You dont' stop in hockey the same way that you stop on roller blades. Believe me. that won't work. I started playign ice hockey my freshman year of high school but i had 3 years of figure skating background. I still couldn't hockey stop however and i'm sure my coaches had many laughs teaching me. Hockey is expensve, so don't rush into making a decision. If you decided it is something you want to do, I would highly recommend starting NOW.

Mine know better than to go in the house, so if they back into a corner and i look at them they'll stop and act like they weren't about to do anything. Mine do this because they know they'll get in trouble if they actually poop in the corner.. Maybe yours knows the same? My ferrets are older though. Maybe he was about to go and got distracted. I'd watch his bowel movements, clean his litter box and wait a couple hours, check it for new stools. They usually go about every 3 hours or so. Make sure the stools look normal (you can find a stool chart online to compare it to). If he's not going at all he needs to go to the vet ASAP cause he might have a blockage. Kits tend to chew on things, he might have swallowed something. He also sometimes lays down flat squints and sighs LOL mine do this a lot.Some ferret owners call this a speed bump because the ferret just lays on the floor flat and looks like a speed bump. It's usually not a sign of disease as much as it is boredom. Grab one of his toys when he does this and see if he perks up. Mine do this when I stop playing with them to get on the computer or wash dishes. They'll plop right onto the floor at the same time and give me a big sigh. It just means he's bored and wants you to entertain him.

Q:I tried and found that the fiberglass resin just peels off. It might be because I put poly-eurethane down first. I bet I have to sand that all off before I try again.Here's what I was attempting to do: I've made a redwood countertop for my vanity. I want to protect the surface from water and from damage from things that might be dropped and from scratches. I figured the fiberglass resin would work nicely, but I think I got a bit ahead of myself when I put down poly-eurethane. I'm thinking I have to clean the surface then strip the poly off before trying again. It's $14 a can of resin. Not real expensive but it can be a rather expensive lesson if not done right.Do you have any advice? Any experience? I could use the help.Thanks.

For public roads, yes, for private property (which the apartment complex IS), probably not. Since your car has been lowered (which means you lied when you told her it wasn't), they have no real incentive to change the speed bumps. Use the one exit, and give your notice and tell them you are moving because of the speed bump.

Q:I like to experiment with different types of fires OUTSIDE in my backyard. I have a water hose and I don't see why it is considered stupid. I mean, as humans we all get interested when we watch things break and burn. Isn't it considered normal to play with fire as long as there is a water source nearby?Personally, I don't see the threat. People have about a greater chance of dying from a ski accident than actually dying from fire as long as WATER is within a arms distance.

Home Depot or lowes, will have small ones- there are companies that service them- call the Local Fire dept for some answers - they check them every so often in Commerial buildings, and can tell you where to get service.

Q:I traded my beloved car in for a more family friendly car. however it has a alarm on it we would lock the doors but when you do the alarm start going crazy and the only way to cut it off is to unlock the trunk. WTF I tryed to start the car to cut it off and it won't start because it has to be cut off at the trunk, I rather just disable it because I really have no need for a alarm on my car. is there a way to disable the alarm without being blocked from starting the car

They're too quick for the most part. Armadillos,opossums and turtles with the occasional deer are natures speed bumps.

Hey obviously you know nothing about joba so let me enlighten you, Joba was a STARTING pitcher at nebraska, joba was a STARTING pitcher in the minores, they brought joba up last year just to get him accustomed to the bigs and get him some innings to get ready for becoming a STARTER , he is now becoming a STARTER, this was the plan from the beginning and this is why they are doing it, he hasnt been a setup guy all his life he has been a STARTER, he is becoming what they drafted him for. the only reason there is such a fuss is because the yankees bullpen blows, and if you put any guy with a 100 mph fastball and wicked off speed in the 8th they will do well, he has STARTER stuff, think about it how many starter go without giving up a hit much less a run in the first couple of innings, because they have great stuff and it takes a couple abs to have hitter adjust.

(Which I found out really has an Outside Diameter of 1.9)3) So my question is: If I am using a pipe size of 1-1/2, what size fittings do I need to buy?Would it be 1-1/2 as well? The city council or equivalent. The more neighbors you have that agree with this idea the better. Are you willing to pay for this? If so, you should be able to get the city to agree to it. If you live in the north, there might be some issues with snow removal though.
