Design Features of High-performance pipeline ball valve-reduced bore:

Body of high-performance pipeline ball valve is forged structure.The connection type for body and vice-body can be BB(bolted connection)and WB(welded connection).The WB(welded connection)and the LWB(Fully-welded extended stem)structure isadopted for buried ball valves,as shown below.

)Multi-level structure of the valve seat seal
As shown in Figure4,there are two elastic O-ring in the valve seat ring-ring A and ring B.Sealing ring A spring-loaded through the valve seat so that the sealing surface of sealing ring A tightly fit with ball surface to form an initial seal.When there is pressure in the system medium,the piston force
produced by the piston force produced by the piston effect of size difference makes elastic deformation of the ring A Ershi sealing surface and ball more closely fit the surface to form a re-sealing;meanwhile,due to ring A in the medium resulted in elastic deformation under pressure so that the sealing ring B is also closely fit the surface of ball for the formation of the second stage seal.When the system medium pressure increasing,it will have an enormous pressure in the valve seat ring A and ring B,so that the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,and then the metal valve seat ring surface and the ball surface sealing together to form a third level of metal to metal seal.

)The assisted valve seat sealing equipment
Based on the actual service condition,medium requirement,sealing requirement,etc.,the assisted valve sealing equipment will be considered to be necessary or not.The assisted valve sealing equipment is a one-way valve installed outside of valve body that can prevent medium leakage and can inject sealing grease into valve body by external force.When the assisted valve seat sealing equipment is required,valve seat ring shall be design and processed with injection grove and hole to connect the assisted valve seat sealing equipments.Such equipment can prevent the medium by the sealing of injection of rease.Refer to Figure5 for reference.

Multi-level structure of stem sealing 
Figure6 shows the stem multi-level sealing by adopting"O"ring,flexible graphite and grease injection;"O"ring achieves the first level stem sealing;Replaceable flexible graphite realizes the second level sealing by the compression of packing sleeve and packing flange;And the third evel sealing is realized by installing assisted sealing injection valve to the packing box,and by designing with the injection groove and hole to connect with the stem injection valve,which can inject grease.

Ball valve fireproof design is implementation of the API607,API6FA standards.According to service conditions and user requirements,ball valve can be designed as a fireproof structure.

)Fireproof structure of seat
As shown in figure7,there is composite fireproof ring,which are combined with graphite and stainless steel wire in the seat.Once the soft ring is burnt out in case of a fire,the fireproof ring and seat ring will form a piston structure through the spring to load the valve body.That will push and closely contact the metal seal surface of the seat ring to the body surface,So as to prevent a lot of medium from leaking from the burnt place of the seat ring,and prevent the fire from expending.

()Fireproof structure(body and bonnet)
The seal gasket for bolt connecting valve body and valve bonnet,are used fireproof stainless steel wire and flexible graphite gaskets.Gasket compression load through the bolts and ultimately,ensure the valve body and valve cover between the metal to metal contact,so that the valve can with stand more high load,but also improve the fire safety of the valve.But for the full welded ball valve,the valve body and cover is welded structure,that fundamentally eliminate the possibillity of leakage of the valve housing.Even in the case of fire damage,there will be no leak.

Q:what is the mechanism of deluge valves?
Deluge valves are used in special fire sprinkler systems. Open sprinklers or spray nozzles are attached to piping and to the valves. The valve is connected through control valves to a water supply system. The deluge valve consists of a housing, a swinging clapper like an ordinary check valve and a retractable keeper to hold the clapper tight to the valve seat. Electrical pneumatic or hydraulic mechanisms can retract the keeper, causing the valve to open. Other attachments provide for alarm sensors, gages and the like. See one at the link below
Q:leaky radiator valve?
Turn the radiator water valve back on and then while holding the tap on tighten the nut until it stops leaking. Sometimes(like us) as the valve gets older the packing inside the valve starts to break down and when you turn the valve on it turns the nut open a little bit with it. Just tighten it up and get you heat going before you and your pipes freeze. Good Luck Richard
Q:a technician has just replaced a valve guide, what's the next step?
Once the valve guide is installed, it has to be reamed to fit the valve stem. After it has been reamed to fit the valve stem, the new valve needs to be seated in. (The valve seat should have already been done by this point) This can be done with a machine tool, or it can be ground in by hand with valve grinding compound. Once this is accomplished, the valve is removed, everything is cleaned thoroughly, and the valve is reinstalled with the spring and keeper. Normally you would do all the operations to all the valves at the same time. (That is, you don't grind in one valve, then go back and ream another valve stem. You do all the operations required at one time. So you would install all the valve guides, then ream them all, then grind or face the valve seats, then check the valve contact area, then remove all the valves, clean the head and valves up, and then reasemble into a completed head unit.)
Q:About the shut off valve?
You have the main water line outside that feeds everyone. Look for a man hole cover and remove it. You should see the turn off valve there. There may be a pipe unit that the county removed so the water could not be turned back on. Call the country and ask for the water to be turned back on. If you are talking about the line after it goes onto your property then it's just a large pipe that comes into your home somewhere. They normally put a on/off valve at that point that allows you to shut the water off inside the home. If the pipe inside the house is detached from that valve then someone most likely cut it and took out a section. You would have to turn the water out at the manhole so you can open that valve and drain the water out of it. Then using a torch/solder/pipe sleeves, new pipe etc solder the replacement piece in place. Remember water in a pipe will not allow the pipe to reach soldering temp without creating steam, which can burn you. Hope that helps....
Q:How does my automatic lawn sprinkler valve work?
the guy above me got to it before i did. sounds like either a diaprham has just gone out, or the solenoid plunger is stuck, or there is a rock or something inside the valve, not closing it all the way. like trying to close a door with your foot in it. it will not close all the way. A word of advice would be to go ahead and replace the anti-siphon valves with regular inline valves. anti-siphon valves are pretty much junk any type. As far as diagnosing the problem now, 1. check your timer's programming and make sure that its not sending out power to this zone all of the time. ( this would make the timer bad). 2. carefully open the valve up ( with the water turned off of course), and inspect the diaprham. if it has any tears or ripps in it, get a new diaphram, if not, then flush the lines out with the valve open to see if any debris is in the line( rocks pipe pieces, etc.) and clean it out. 3. take out the solenoid and make sure the plunger in it is not sticking. ( if so replace the solenoid). 4. if all else fails just simply cut out and replace the entire valve and plumb in a new one properly. personally i would use either Hunter PGV valves, Rainbird DVF 100 valves, or Irritrol 205 series valves. all are inline models. antisiphon valves tend to fail. i work on sprinkler systems full time for 95 $ per hour of labor for our company. hope this can help you out John A
Q:Are OHC valves generally smaller than pushrod valves?
Yes, because the largest 4 valves one can cram in the same cylinder head are smaller BUT provide more area than the largest two valves that would fit in the same head. With valves, the larger the overall area, the better.
Q:Reed valves?
reed valves are in a 2 stroke cylinder head they are exactly like they sound like in a clarinet.. when the piston rises they are closed due to the position the port is in the cylinder . when the piston is down stroking it creates a vacuum hence the reed valve opens and the piston starts to rise closes the reed valve.. 4 cycle engines have mechanicaly activated valves from a timing chain and a camshaft which controls when the valve opens so the answer is NO NO NO
Q:water inlet pressure relief valve?
It sounds like a pressure reducing valve. As you tighten that bolt it increases the pressure and made it leak more.It's probably not any good. I think if you go to a home center you'll find one . probably a Watts brand. They seem to be more prolific. Not hard to change.
Q:Does mitral valve prolapse prohibit weight lifting?
Good question, excellent details! The best advice I can give you, due to the complications associated with mitral valve prolapse, I would recommend you perform a stress test. Real easy procedure, heart rate is increased, generally by mechanical motion (ig running), cardiac cycle is monitored on screen. Basically here is the problem, your flaps on your mitral valve are being pushed back into the region of your heart that feeds the contracting area (left atrium), contracting region being the left ventricle. When this occurs, it greatly increases the possibility of back-flow of blood to the pulmonary veins and back to the lungs, which is REALLY bad. Without going into further detail, my best recommendation would be a stress test. Hope that helped. Good luck.
Q:Biological or mechanical heart valve replacements...?
Well one of the draw backs to a mechancial valve would be that your friend would have to be on blood thinners for life. Biological, you would worry about rejection. But, you would worry about rejection with the mechanical also. Depends on what type of after care he/she is willing to put up with. I would probably choose the mechanical.
