Q:College dorm rugs?!?
Have you tried bed bath and beyond? By me there is a place called Linens and things as well. I'm sure somewhere sells rugs do you have a home goods by you? they sell rugs as well!
Q:Ugly apartment rug what to do?
cover it with another rug
Q:scotch guard carpet?
I was told by the carpet layer from Discount City Carpets when laying my new (solution-dyed nylon twist) carpets about 18 months ago that new carpet comes Scotchguarded and it is removed with steam cleaning.
Q:whats a carpet mucher?
someone who eats pussy maybe she wants to have some fun lol
Q:where can i get little patches of carpet?
Try getting a sample piece that matches from a store that sells discontinued samples (Lowe's or Home Depot). Sometimes you can find them at a place like Big Lots. IF you cannot find a match but something close, consider replacing the carpeting in a closet, then use the carpet from the closet for repairs.
Q:Can I wash my rug in a top load?
It doesn't matter if it's a top or front load machine--what matters is what the rug is made of and how big it is. If it won't FIT in a top-loader, then you have to use a laundromat's front-loader. BIG rugs have a lot of trouble fitting into some smallish top-loaders. That's why they tell you to use a front-loader--because the washer will not unbalance during washing a single rug that way, and it will be easier to get it in and out. If your run is more than 3X5 feet, you'll probably not be able to get it into a top-loader--take it to the laundromat and use their large-capacity front-loaders.
Q:Spilled darkbrown nailpolish on grey rug?
pour a small amount of nail polish remover BLOT with an old towel or cloth...DO NOT rub!!! Repeat continue until it's gone. It may leave a slight stain, but this should do the trick
Q:What size rug should I put under my dining room table?
That should work just fine.
Q:Is it good to dry your bathroom rugs?
That's the $64,000 question. If you wash the rugs and allow them to air dry, they won't look fluffy. They'll look a little matted. You can fluff them a little with a clean hair brush after they've dried or run them through the dryer on Fluff...but to make the rugs look really fluffy and pretty, you'll need to dry them in your dryer. If you dry the rugs in your dryer, the rubber backing will break down. It's a Catch-22. So your choices: 1. Wash them in Cold water and let them air dry. Then fluff them with a hair brush...or run them on the no heat option. This will preserve the rubber backing, but the rugs won't be as fluffy as they looked new. - or - 2. Wash them and dry them in the dryer. This will make the rugs beautifully fluffy, but the backing will come off in pieces. Good luck. -
