Q:Carpet shampooer, which one is best?
Depending on how often you shampoo your carpet, you will definately get your monies worth in just a couple months or so. My daughter and I have asthma and I have 3 kids...that's enough said, so I clean my carpets about every 6 weeks due to the asthma whether they need it or not. I bought a bissel from wal-mart for about $80 so I had gotten my moneys worth in just two cleanings. I've now had that same bissell about 5 years so it is very worth it just purchase one. I love mine and my sister n law and friends had borrowed it a few times and decided to just buy one for themselves and have never been sorry!!
Q:Semi permanent Hair dye on cream carpet?
An unfortunate accident with hair dye can make cleaning carpet a nightmare. In many cases, it may even mean the end of your carpet. Hopefully it won't come to this. There are a few things you can try to remove carpet stains of this nature. First of all, it should go without saying that if hair dye is spilled on the carpet one should act immediately. Dampen a sponge and apply dishwashing liquid. Blot the stain with the sponge until you've lifted as much of the dye as possible. You can also try doing the same thing with vinegar. If this doesn't work and the stain hasn't set into the carpet too deep, you might be able to snip the very top fibers of the carpet without anyone knowing. If none of this works, you'll have to call in a professional who makes cleaning carpet stains his business or rearrange your furniutre to hide the stain...
Q:so do your horses like there rugs?
I have 3 T.W. mares. two dislikes them. but my youngest thinks she pretty looks forward to having hers on!
Q:carpet/hardwood floor question?
Sounds like you have asked a lot of good questions. Padding under carpet is even more important than the carpet itself. Whether you are buying the lower, middle or top end carpet, you should always buy the most expensive padding. It will make all the difference in the feel of the carpet as well as how it wears. And it is not that expensive. Hardwoods these days should be the pre-done floors that Bruce and all hardwood companies have been doing for years. Because they are cut and polyurethaned in house they are stronger and more durable than floors that are raw cut, laid, and only a couple of coats of poly done. When your contractor lays hardwood floors, they also lay the wood moldings.
Q:how do you get lamp oil from a carpet?
You did not mention if the result was ONLY (which is bad) a soiled spot or did it result in delamination... (the carpet coming up into a ripple type look)... Normally.. I say normally.. Spilled lamp oil, baby oil, or too much solvent applied to any carpet, will cause delamination. This can only be repaired from the back or by injecting new adhesive into the carpet's backing. If it does not show effects of delamination, you might try two things.. rubbing with HOT soapy water.. if not workilng, try usisng denture cleaner on the spot(s)
Q:How can I remove the smell from a wool rug?
Take it outside let it air out- try spraying with white vinegar.
Q:my lhasa apso who is at least 12 years has started uninating on the rug for the past 3 years, how do i stop it?
12 yrs old. and you want to sapnk it? shame on YOU! There is something wrong like a UTI (urinary tract infection) or she just cant hold it that long. Think about getting old and having bladder control problems. EFFF the freaking rug. Your dog doesn't care about that, neither should you. Get your dog to the vet and see what is up. Bet there is something going on, and your dog has been trying to tell you, you just don't get it!!!!!!
Q:Do carpet tiles look good?
Carpet tiles look fine. I'm in a commercial building where carpet tiles are used almost everywhere, and they look and function quite well. They also have the advantage that if damage occurs, or wear becomes too noticeable, the tiles can be pulled up and replaced. Prices vary a lot according to the design, depth of the pile, resistance to wear, etc.
Q:how can i get nail polish out of my carpet?
that is effortless, nail polish remover. get the form with out lanolin, if u can, however any form will paintings. pour a few remover on an ancient rag, paintings in circles from the external inward. hold operating w/ contemporary remover until u get all of it, then use just a little diluted dishwashing liquid in scorching water and a scrub brush. recall the cleaning soap u r leaving within the carpet from the dishwashing liquid is similar to carpet shampoo, and can go away a place as a way to draw in just a little dust, if u do not get such a lot of it out. inform the carpet cleanser subsequent time u have it wiped clean, so he can extract that spot good, with blank water, or do it urself with a condo unit, like from wally global. recall, carpet is close to indestructable, so do not fear an excessive amount of
Q:Antique rug, how do I clean it?
The best way to clean an oriental rug is either to wash it yourself with bicarbionate of soda and vinegar, or farm it out to be washed by a company that specializes in oriental rugs. NEVER use detergent or a chemical cleaner, or dry clean, an oriental rug. All these substances will destroy the protective lanolin in the rug. A 6x8 would be really easy to do yourself. First, vacuum it face-down to loosen the deepest dirt, then right side up. You can either lay the rug on flat, clean concrete (not tarmac), or hang it over a couple of ladders or a fence. Then, rub bicarb all over it, then saturate with vinegar; it will foam up and push out the dirt. Rinse well. The advantage of doing it on a flat surface is you can squeegee it, then hang it. If over ladders, it may take a few days to dry.
