- Q:I'm looking for the best vacuum cleaner that washes house rug/carpet. Any price will be ok. Once it does the job. Thanks
- The best cleaning solutions to use on your carpet are the Rug Doctor brand. These products work best and are the most economical, particularly when purchased at warehouse type stores.
- Q:I've just bought a 15.2hh Welsh Section D! :) He's my first horse and he didn't come with any rugs, so I need to buy them all! He'll be stabled at night and out during the day.I plan to buy: two fleeces, a show fleece, a medium weight stable rug, a lightweight turnout and a mediumweight turnout rug. Will he be warm enough?
- If you really think you need a turnout rug for your Welsh Cob then you will need to measure him. My loan pony is a Welsh Section D and she doesn't need a rug she is absouloutley fine Welsh Section D's don't have turnout rugs in the wild and they don't need them (unless your horse is clipped) But I think a show fleece and a stable rug would be a good idea xx
- Q:How would you carpet your walls?
- Almost regardless of where you live, whether renting or owning, you should keep in mind the ability to reverse this change. My recommendation is to mount the carpet to 1/4 plywood and then mount the plywood in sections to the walls with wood screws and dress washers. (a cosmetic washer that is more appealing to the eye.) Brass would be a nice touch. Use wall anchors (plastic will be fine) if installing over drywall. 1/4 plywood is affordable (underlayment will work) and this is quickly removable and by spackling the holes, completely reversable. The carpent can be stapled to the plywood and if not glued, even the plywood can someday be reused, if....you change your mind.
- Q:i got probably the worst rug burn ever! it broke the skin in two main places. i bled a bit and it stayed red for hours its two days later and my skin around my eye (where i got it) is turning this really sick shade of brownish green. my dad said it'll turn into a bruse and go away after about a week and a half. please dont tell me this is true because i have my senoir pictures to take and i already made the appointment. i made the date for next wensday.
- Sadly your Dad is correct. It will might even stay they longer. But hey every year you get pictures so just sit back with your friends and have a good laugh. A bruise is blood that had reached the surface but hasnt come out yet.So it will take it a while to go back a heal.So it that time relax and suck it up and live with it
- Q:I have a smallish (3ft by 5ft) area rug that needs to be cleaned. It's not worth enough to pay a cleaner and I have hardwood floors so I'm not trying to rent a steam cleaner. I was thinking about using a clothes line between two trees and hosing it down real well with a pressurized garden hose... I have tried vacuuming and quot;beatingquot; the rug with a stick, but there is a dingy coloration that I think needs water/washing to get it looking nice. I wasn't going to use any detergents, just water and a scrub brush then let it air dry for a day or so. Does this seem like at least a semi-good idea? I'll sooner throw the rug out and spend money on a new one than spend money cleaning this one. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
- You will have to put some outer trim around the stove additionally put up some decorative borders or trim at the top to check the paint your going to purchase. Fix the cabinets over the sing they've unfastened screws or hinges now not set correct and get a gentle diffuser for the lamps over the sink it will make the lights less harsher than what they are and make it easy on your eyes. The diffuser is a plastic masking that may be hooked up beautiful effortless and makes the kitchen look higher. Additionally substitute the diminish trim plastic with a lighter color it can be known as a mop board.

- Q:Me and my husband have been searching apartments for rent and 90% come with carpets. Being both from Europe, we are not used to the smell of carpet. We just wondered what happened in this country that so many people use carpets.
- After WWII, wall-to-wall carpeting was considered a luxury-- something that signified success, etc. Previously, homes were built with wood floors and people put down area rugs for comfort, warmth, and to muffle sound. For several decades after the war, just about everyone who could afford it had wall to wall carpeting--- soft for the feet, comfortable to sit or lie on, etc. I've even seen bathrooms and kitchens carpeted-- how impractical is that? But people wanted their homes to be like soft nests... a cozy refuge from the 'cold cruel world'. Newer homes in the U.S. have gone back to more wood, marble, tile etc. because people like the look and the cleanliness. In older homes many people are ripping up the carpeting to refinish the underlying wood, if it exists, or put in new flooring. As people have become more aware of the effects of molds and dust on our health, many people want to avoid carpets, which trap such things. Things come and go in fashions, including in home decorating. One reason, however, that many apartments still may be carpeted is to dull the sounds for the people who live below. If the apartment was not built with good sound insulation in the floors and walls, carpeting helps to absorb noise, and makes living close to others easier. Newer buildings have much sound insulation, so, while more expensive because they are new, they will have less carpeting. I, personally, have some parts of my home with natural wood and ceramic tile, but the family room where everyone tends to sit/lie around on the floor as well as the furniture when we watch movies etc. is thickly carpeted. We are very casual-- and the kids like to roll around, do somersaults etc. and the carpet is soft. (and relatively clean)
